So true so many people choose not to face their true selves all of it. I have done Grief Recovery and even felt the calling and became a Grief Recovery Specialist

Too many purported "counselors" can't keep secrets shared in grief work. Until counselors stop caving to legal pressure to reveal counseling secrets, it's hard to trust them. We need to get real pastoral privilege back with zero exceptions.

But how do we do it with a counselor tho

The Bible is sufficient. Jesus Christ is sufficient. The problem is not that only 1% of people do their grief work, but that people don’t realize that we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. We should not try to victimize ourselves or others but admit that we are sinners and our flesh is the problem. I was not addicted to porn because my dad wasn’t in my life, I was addicted to porn because I was a born sinner and delighted in watching porn. We need to start turning to the cross and to scripture instead of turning to therapist or human answers to human problems.
