Totally agree with Mr Cline about the ambiguity. I'm 68 and found most of the questions very easy. My judgement is that life experience has a great deal to do with being able to easily answer these rather less than challenging questions. Makes me think of Forrest Gump when the army sergeant tells him he must be a goddamn genius. S'pose I must be one then!

Another riddle: there is a mother who had 3 daughters One day, the three of them were walking under a small umbrella But unfortunately, the umbrella was so small that only the two of them could walk under the umbrella The youngest daughter then said, "I'm fine, let me walk without any umbrellas" But strangely, she did not get wet! Why? I'll give you some more time to think Time's up! The answer is.... It wasn't raining

Wouldn't time be an acceptable answer to riddle #2? I am also completely befuddled by question #10. There is no common analogy or use of the verbage kissing in connection with striking a match. I don't know who came up with or included that riddle, but in my opinion it was a mistake to do so.

I guess it all comes down to semantics in the end doesn't it? Anyway, all the best to you.

(1) Matchstick answer is ridiculous , (2) temperature is one answer . I think wind & sunlight could also be answers ,(3) 55 is not the same number as 5 . 60 + 60 - 60 = 60 is a better answer if you use the “same” number . Still had fun . … PET

One of my favorite riddles from recent years: What is more powerful than God, more evil than Satan, the rich need it, the poor have it and if you eat it, you'll die? The answer is "Nothing". Another favorite, and I use my mom's and aunts' names in this one. Five sisters are doing different things. Mary is baking cookies, Helen is reading a book, Donna is playing chess, and Carol is taking a nap. What is Shirley doing? Answer: She's playing chess with Donna.

That’s not correct. Shirley can’t be playing chess with Donna, because it says they’re all doing “different things”. And if Donna’s playing chess, then Shirley must be doing something else (something different).

@@tonymusolino2369 You know, you're right, that should be worded a little differently. My answer is the correct one. Maybe it could be reworded "Five sisters are all busy doing something." Donna could be playing chess against a computer, in which case Shirley would be doing something else.

@@englishtestsandlogic How is striking a match in any way even remotely related to kissing your mother? You strike a match. Perhaps the riddle should read “I smack my mother and then I die”. But having “matchstick” as an answer doesn’t make sense either.

Instead of Matchbox I thought of lipstick which is at least on the lips. LxHxW how about Time Weight, Pressure. You can lose a shadow in a darkened room. 28 days except in ancient Hebrew intercalary month. NOON has slant wrong in some turnings, tOOt doesn't if written with straight + like an elongated plus sign.

No they are not but it said you can use the same number three times but it can't be 20 so 55+5= 60 so in order to make the number 55 you would have to use the number 5 twice plus adding another 5 which therefore gives the answer 60.

I think that the riddle 9 has some technical problem. That is 55 and 5 not same. So we can't use and thereby we have to use the same number for three time times. So it would be no doubt (60×60÷60).

YOU CAN LOSE A SHADOW BY ENTERING A ROOM VOID OF ANY LIGHT. 60+60-60=60 USED THE SAME NUMBER THREE TIMES BUT DIDN'T USE 20. A MATCHSTICK IS NOT THE MOTHER OF THE FLAME, POTASSIUM CHLORATE IS.
