When cooking fish that large, turn the heat up and cook the skin on both sides until crispy. Then turn the heat down and cover the pan with a lid. You can even add a little oil or wine to it before covering to help. Again, use lemon with fish! Lemon helps with a lot of foods because of its acidity. Also, you should have cut that fish to fit the pan lol You could have put two smaller peices of fish. BIGGEST tip I can give you when cooking (from experience) DON'T WALK AWAY FROM YOUR STOVE. lol I used to get yelled at all the time when I did that and didn't know why it mattered until I got older and started burning things. I'll keep commenting food tips if you need them!

Becca, you are one tough chick. You rocked that challenge. I bet after this, it will be a while before you eat fish again. I am glad Riley was with you during this challenge. I think you may need to stick with the 24 hr survival challenges. At least until your body adjusts or you stick to one spot. Wow, you are amazing. Can't wait to see what else you are doing on your wild adventure. Stay safe.

Hello Becca. Seeing you in a different way, perhaps a more personal way in this video. Anxiety is a bitch that kicks in when you least expect it. Your nervosity really showed and made this a real experience. Migraines also are nothing to be ignored either. 2 days without food is normally not a real issue except for those with other problems. Please do not put yourself at risk just for a video. True life content on this one over and above the others i feel. I had to watch every second. All the best and stay safe Becca.

I woke up once at Isle Royale and a moose and her baby were in the river doing what they do. I saw moose at almost every place that we camped at that week and I've only seen one moose in the zillion years since that week. There are so many largemouth bass in the lake I fish from after work that I always give away the one legal bass I usually catch to someone. A lot of older retired people fish in the mornings so I'll take the fish to their car then give it to them to the DNR doesn't get them for being over the limit. It's one largemouth over eighteen inches. Great video so far hope you had a great meal when you were done.

Crawfish are great they're like mini lobsters. Cook them the same way alive you just boil water and throw them in and then pull them out and rip the tails off and there's all your meat. Then melt some butter in a small bowl that's fire it's literally like lobster.

tip. if your fish is bigger than your pan cut it up or switch to cooking over a fire. Pro tip for cooking in general don't walk away from what you're cooking ever. Also throw away that sheet metal pan and get a cast iron one. I suggest about a 10.25 inch pan. cast iron is your friend when cooking. It's slow to heat up but it is so forgiving while you're cooking. just keep it clean oiled and away from the damp and it last multiple lifetimes.
@gravityowns8559
@gravityowns8559 2 жыл бұрын
Cast iron is hard to get used to if you've never used them. Always underestimating how much butter to use in those things and cleaning can be hard. But I guess the right research could help that.
@Saber_Outdoors
@Saber_Outdoors 2 жыл бұрын
Sheet metal has no forgiveness. If you're not on your game you'll burn your food every time. During my last camping video i was sitting next to my pan and still almost burnt my grilled cheese.

The second thing girl I would have screamed my head off if I would have opened a container and seen that frog!!! I am terrified of them and you were like nothing haha and you even touched it yuck lol. Sup Becca. The adventure continues, still jealous lol. Always try to get an extra fish because practice makes perfect👊. Was hoping to see hot sauce and the zatarains fish fri lol, Forgot to say can put 1/2 cup to 1cup in zip lock bags so can just shake. Wonder how long trip will last? Guessing 10 days lol, can see more of main and your new Hampshire spots? Be nice to hit Vermont, mass and Connecticut, then RI lol. Girl power👊. Knew would see a moose, cool huh, yea don't want to hit one will total truck🤣. But if hit deer get filet knife and get the meat, might have to slit throat, but will die. Have a book butchering game if want it? Ty tc
