OnlyFans is stuck in this situation. They started off as a porn site. But they want to transition away from that. But if they ban porn, they wont exist. And the reason why there isn't anything other than porn, is because people who do something else don't want to be associated with a porn site. For example Patreon has found a way to get an audience where you can support anything without immediately thinking of porn.

this is not true. they started out as a site similar to patreon but with a different style. Women literally turned it into a porn site themselves, so OF tried to transition away from that because that's not what they intended to create. edit: basically they have to start or acquire another company in ordewr to rebrand. OnlyFans is synonymous with porn now. its just too late.

What’s the alternative? Hire people to sit and subject themselves to that kind of content for a job? Great way to destroy someone mentally. As someone that has *tried* to do non-sexwork stuff on onlyfans.. Yeah, the functionality of the website just straight up doesn't allow it for shit. There is *nothing* there. You can't even make text posts that are not just.. text. No formatting, no nothing. Heck, for the streaming functionality to be available, you need two forms of validation, a bank account, wait two weeks, have a certain amount of subscribers :P.
