Jonathan I totally get you! As an MD I look back and think I could’ve made more $$ if I had chose dentistry or vetinary medicine. But I ❤ what I do. I too have been experiencing issues with patients not expecting a 56yo AA woman walking into the room and telling the patient that I’m their MD for this hospitalization. I’ve been practicing for 26 years now and I still go thru it…. Oh Doc you look soo young! What school did you go to? How long have you been in practice. Gotta give my whole CV before I can get them to talk about why they came to my hospital!!

Wow i remember doing my senior project on Physical Therapy. I thought I wanted to be a PT so bad. The thought of teaching someone to walk and their progress seems so rewarding. I got discouraged along the journey and decided it wasn’t for me.

Seeing your mom's happiness and your family just made me so happy! I've been watching your videos forever, and I didn't even know Jonathan was a PT. I'm an OT, so I always get happy to see other therapists lol. I agree with him, though. Therapy is something you really have to enjoy doing. There will always be people who say they should have done this or that. You just have to find what works for you.
