I was so blinded, my half native son told me, we’re extinct, mom we’re gone. No. Never. Just changed. Still here, see the trees trying? We have that, they try, we try. Global warming needs our help. Mother Nature did so much, let’s help. The way of our future is to confess our past.

This SHOULD be the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma's theme song, we WILL LEAD the way into true cultural suvival. We've already had MANY accomplishments during the last two decades. Thank you Chief Pyle and Baton! You are true leaders! YAKOKE!!!!!!!

It's a shame. We (Choctaw) are doing a lot of things for our culture these days, we're reviving lost arts and ways, and keeping our traditional stories. Just know that everyone of us who is proud of our background (regardless of blood quantum) are good examples of cultural suvival. Keep up the good fight brother!

I'm only an eighthbreed, but it seriously shows somehow lol. I get confused for Mexican all the time, people will come up to me speaking Spanish. But I've got all kinds of admixtures, to the point where I'm probably really more native than anything else, if that makes sense. Like me great great grandmother was German and my great great great grandfather was Czech.

I'm a quarter native (Apache and Aztec) and I'm writing a rap about my ancestors and my life in the Apache culture. I'm only one eighth Apache, but it was a big part of my upbringing, so it is very important to me even though it's not much of my dna. My great great great great grandfather was Geronimo, the famous freedom fighter. My native name is Sky Jaguar, but it was given to me by a Mayan man, so in the Mayan language it is pronounced Ataw Chan B'alam Yax

i'm doing well, how are you? since posting that comment I've found out that I may be a small amount Mayan, but if I am it's not very much, possibly a 16th. I plan on visiting the ancient temples in Belize in the next few years, possibly Tikal in Guatemala as well.

Fool Official Ive been searching all my adult life for the truth. My relatives are on the 1924 Baker Rolls, but they're not my direct ancestors. My great grandma was born in KY at a mining camp in 1902. Her dad was Eastern Band per oral history. I'm sure the govt doesn't want us to know what they did to our ancestors...

Great Song of Survival !! I watched this video so many times, I can't stop. :) Big up Jesse !! I'm not Native, but I feel in my heart and blood, so strongly, your struggle. It's a bit like mine, I struggle for a similar cause, for my people who's been also used as labour hand in sugar cane fields in Reunion Island. Most of my ancestors (Indians (from South India) and Africans) were disrespected and converted to catholic religion, assimilated, etc. All colonized people on Earth can feel similar things. Keep on standing up for our rights ! I'm proud of your people. (y) Krishna. Mitakuye Oyasin.
