Just saw *BAND-MAID* at *Aftershock* and they was amazing it was a 7 song setlist but expect 2hr 23 song setlist with some instrumentals 😀

I'm still big on Japan after Sunday's F1 Japanese Grand Prix - always a great event as the Japanese F1 fans are very enthusiastic - so this was well-timed. Very enjoyable, and the same sheer enthusiasm shines through. The one twist being the whole "maid café" culture, which is uniquely Japanese. I wonder if on tour they're more like Rush in having a reputation for tidying up their hotel rooms, instead of trashing them like The Who?

You're more likely to hear their new instrumental From Now On which was their opener at Aftershock and they had premiered a month or so ago at Summersonic I think. It's the opening track of The Unleash EP. I think you will be happy with it 😁

Philly is towards the end of the tour… my show is the day before on the 25th. But they hit the west coast and Texas before the come east so we’ll know the basic setlist well in advance!

Hey guys! I love, love, love seeing your reactions to Band Maid. As an old rock guy who grew up with the classics The Who and RUSH have always been my personal favorites. I never thought I would see that level of musical talent in a rock band again...then I discovered Band Maid and...WOW! You have no idea what your in for with their live show, the relentlessly assault you musical senses for two hours straight in the best way possible! As far as a song that is sure to be in the setlist "Choose Me" would be a good one to check out, but I would suggest "Influencer" as it's one of their new ones that is very "currently relevant". I would also love to see you guys do a video after the concert to hear your thoughts!! ROCK ON!! 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂

The more I listen to this band, the more I like them. They are so energetic and talented! I like their studio output, but the live songs I've seen on YooToob totally rock!! I know the maid outfits are a bit of a gimmick, but I like them! It really sets them apart from the bands visually, not to mention that it's sexy (Hey! I said not to mention that haha!). The tour started Sunday in CA at the Aftershock Festival. Only 6 songs. Tomorrow starts their main US tour in Seattle. With an amazing 120+ song catalog they are beginning their 10th year together. Kanami’s solo dominates 60〜70% of the whole song, but even so, it stands for the other three instruments to shine and to put everything into their MUSIC. That’s awesome and is the talent and is genius.

Actually they played the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento last Sunday, then they go to Seattle on Wednesday the 12th, then San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas and Houston before going to the east coast, so you guys will see them toward the end of the tour. They opened their set at Aftershock with a different instrumental "from now on" - there's the official one on the Unleash playlist on the Band-Maid youtube channel (no video; just meditate on the album cover art), but there are a couple of fan-cams from last Sunday if you look for them. The Dicodec channel has one up (the original is still on his patreon, I think) with some stopping for commentary. Good sound for a phone, and great video.

Wagakki band is worth checking out, they incorporate some traditional Japanese instruments into their music.

Probably not "Onset," but their new instrumental. For me, "Onset" is only their 4th best instrumental but it's the only one with an official live video. My favorite is the new "From Now On." You'll probably hear it in Philadelphia!

these ladies are excellent no argument there and onset is an amazing tune from a talented group but you got to take a look at another Japanese all female band "Lovebites" if you want to hear amazing drumming and 2 of the undoubtedly best female lead guitarists in the world right now. Midori and Miyako will impress that's for sure. it's been said that having that much talent in one group is just criminal. Lovebites are truly amazing!

It's unlikely they'll play Onset. They have a lot more instrumentals to choose from now. They have been opening with From Now On (instrumental from latest EP), and will likely play another mid concert likely before Miku's Magic Time to give Saiki more of a break. My guess is it will be Without Holding Back. Classic songs that usually make the set list are Domination, Play, Choose Me, Freedom. New songs likely to be featured are Unleash!!!!!, Influencer, and Sense. Don't expect a lot of "noodling" or improv jamming from them. Their shows are meticulously planned as they have to sync with backing tracks. Not sure where you got Philly being the opening date for the tour. The tour opens tomorrow night in Seattle. Philly is like one of the last stops.

These ladies are certainly talented. I Ioved their instrumental, but I do prefer Lovebites over them. Larry, they don't work before the concert but after each concert, since they are dressed for it, they help do the clean up, lol
