Kanami INTEGRATES tapping etc. into enjoyable passages better than anyone alive IMHO. She is a master composer-musician-artist, not just from a technical standpoint. BTW, they are multi-instrumentalists who have studied music most of their lives. And while they may look younger, they are all in late 20s. Akane turns 30 this year. And her energy in every sense is awesome.

Great point at the sum-up: Yeah they're great technical players, but the *musicality*, the arrangements, the teamwork, the interplay on top of that are what makes them standouts.

Talent is without doubt paramount but it is so much more. It is the total package coupled with the very unlikely prospect that something like this could even get off the ground. If we assign a talent factor of ten for each band members we do not get a total of fifty for the band. The total is much more like one hundred. The total far exceeds the sum of its parts. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

Their reputation continues to grow in the world and many want to see them in concert. But I don't think we talk enough about Miku who founded and united this group, what a great initiative, who has the lyric and also not to forget that she did not know how to play the guitar 7 years ago . Thank you Miku for this wave of freshness. A French fan.

@@mechghost5742 Absolutely !!! You can see how she has improved with every song. And people generally don't realize she is the alpha of the group, the group was her idea and she did the groundwork that brought her, Kanami, Akane, Misa and Saiki together. As far as I'm concerned, they are the #1 rock band in the world at present. And I can't really think of too many groups that are even close to them. I mean I like a lot of other Japanese female bands, SCANDAL, Aldious, Doll$Box, Show-Ya and others, but Band-Maid is a cut above.
@mikeat2637
@mikeat2637 3 жыл бұрын
Especially Akane. You hear about Senri Yamaguchi and how she's technically better, but when it comes to the blending of the group to produce great music Akane has no peer. And Jimmy Page thinks so also, as he told her she was the reincarnation of John Bonham after seeing Band-Maid in Tokyo. Kanami is a revelation on guitar, she is just......amazing. Misa is one of the top bassists out there and given her classical background in cello you can see why. I'd love to see a bass-off between Misa, Asa from Wagakki Band, Boh from Kami Band and Tomomi Ogawa of the veteran rock group SCANDAL. Now that would be a treat.

You should check out "Puzzle". It´s my favorite "song" of them, "song" because it´s actually 3 songs in ONE song it feels like... A lot of different riffs, verses, solos all over the place and the lyrics (look an translation afterwards!) is a pure heartbreaking masterpiece! All their songs are great, but this one is in my opinion SPECIAL! Great reaction from both of you, like always, good to see you are enjoying this awesome band so much :) Greetings from Germany! Thanks for coming back to Band-Maid again! They have enough great instrumentals to release a mini-album but unlikely to do so. It’s actually really difficult to get their recorded studio versions. Onset was a super limited release as a bonus for Bubble and Glory purchased together. They released 3 instrumental videos as a limited bonus for their Conqueror album. Everything else only exists as live performances, in “illegal” fan-recorded audio or video. And one more has not been performed live yet due to COVID. I personally suspect one of the 3 tracks in the “Different” single they are releasing in December could possibly be one of their already-written instrumentals, but it’s just a guess/hope more than anything.

A certain MR EDDIE VAN HALEN would be impressed with KANAMI'S tapping technique. Originally, Kanami played Addictone guitars but once she was noticed, she’s been PRS all the way! Kanami- PRS / Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier + 8 or 9 different pedals Miku- Zemaitis Custom / EVH 5150 (EDDIE VAN HALEN) stack + various pedals MISA- Black Cloud custom 5 string bass / Orange stack Akane- Drum Kit: Tama Star Bubinga, Snare Drum: Ludwig, Cymbals: Zildjian (left to right) Oh, by the way- JIMMY PAGE OF (LED ZEPPELIN) loves BAND-MAID, enough said....

I am glad to have found your channel. There are too few like you. Only 5 young japanese women have to come to show the world that there is still good hardrock. But Band-Maid can be even harder. "Rinne" is actually almost metal and their hardest song. Pretty much the only song of them where you should watch the MV, because there is no official live video. "Real Existence" ,live 2018, is hard and (mostly) fast. Every musician should watch this clip of the band...to learn! This performance is a demonstration of what is possible for a rock band on stage! Both songs on the Band-Maid channel. Trust me☺, these two songs are the right ones for you.

They dropped a BlueRay with the Limited version of Conqueror, their last LP, where they put three instrumental songs (versions of Domination, Dice and Onset) and you can select the single performance of every member as well as the complete band. The result is absolutelly brillilant. BTW: It´s still available.

This strikes me as odd.....most of the adulation for this band, these written comments, all read and sound very similar. ALMOST as though they were written by the same person....and unusual grammatical errors by people with English-speaking-sounding names. Claims that can’t be taken seriously - LOTS OF THEM. I looked up a name or two online, and can find no evidence that they actually exist. BeenVerified, Twitter, Facebook- that’s very strange. Now who would do that ? The same puppet-masters pumping music into the speakers at live shows for these musicians to strum their guitars to ? For money? Gross. If true, GROSS. The only thing they can’t manipulate? The music really isn’t very good. You aren’t fooling anyone. Go make an honest living - you’ll feel better.
