I mean she is not really saying she is a legend & that is the pure reason why so that is why with the careful, professional words she is using. By still not choosing to throw everyone under the bus by unprofress. calling out names & or also tagging on the bad bussiness onto ppls name even after she had been called. Its a thin mature line she is on that can come off to the public and maybe to ppl in the biz today as Bitchy, uppity, hard to work with. By her saying the wrong messenger she is saying that there was a person that reached out to "Middle-Man" the B.E.T situation. It was a tax or a 2 cents being added on more then likely by someones manager (maybe someone in Beenie's corner). That dosent mean their intentions where bad towards her because there are ppl in that world who have job titles just to land those deals for ppl. So what Patra is saying is...... (PLEASE KEEP IN MIND SHE HAD A HIT FIRST ALBUM. HER SECOND ONE DIDNT DO SO HOT AND BAMM BANG!! THE MAJOR LABLE DROPPED HER. & BACK IN THOSE DAYS THAT HAPPENED LEFT AND RIGHT NO INTERNET NO KZfaqS. AFTER THE DROP SHE SIGNED WITH SEVERAL INDIE LABLES UNTIL SHE JUST WENT UNDERGROUND.) So Patra knows the game and has been through the rough game at its toughest 90's hit album the POOF. She learned alot she is not going to put herself in these bad situations that she has been in over the years. And with this one she says she couldnt be fooled because she has a great relationship with B.E.T. They know how to get in touch with her and what it takes for her to get the moving and shaking out and out, so if they needed her they should have called. It was a big red flag I guess. She didnt even say turning that one guy down had to be the end of it. if she was reached out to properly it could have happened. And we should all love how she still kept her cool and didnt spill the beans and came like a pro saying everyone should tell their own story. Then all the "UPPERS" take advantage off the "Older Legends" or the "What ever happen Too's" , "The Short Lived". Most of them are btoke by now or just so plain out desperate. They are expected to run and jump at the first and worst deals ever. Just as she said at the front of the interview.

People have to understand she's coming from that oldskool background and they would have had first hand experience of how the industry operates and they wouldn't have just jump on any opportunities that may have come their way, especially if they didn't find it to be genuine.
