BoredomsのYoshimiOを中心とした女性4人編成のバンド、OOIOO。かつて雑誌の企画において“架空のバンド”として編成されたものの、1995年、Sonic Youthのフロントアクトとして実質的な活動をスタート。以来長きに渡り、Boredomsと同じく伝説のバンドとして歴史を紡いできた。 2019年にレッドブル・ミュージック・スタジオ東京で収録されたこのスタジオライブが、常に進化を続けるこのバンドの現在形を、見事に体現している。また、YoshimiOが、音楽へのあくなき好奇心と衝動について語った貴重なレクチャー講演が、「Red Bull Music Festival Tokyo 2019」内にて

I remember hearing about the band in the early 2000s. A friend had tipped me onto Ween and I liked them hard, got armpits deep in the brown. Loved me some Z-Rock Hawaii. That led me to the boredoms meltbanana all that japanese 'punk' that was like raw musical deconstructionism with lots of barking and squealing, with just a hint of seriously raw talent behind it all. Checked out OOiOOs self titled, it will always be too antagonistic to me, this music now is still as confrontational in it's approach to asking you to listen and it is much more mellow which makes it weird and fun. Love it.

@@BobbyMotovlogIndonesia Is it my fault or your fault that you don't understand the original post? So the people in the Japanoise scene. The Japanese people who happen to make noise music. They're all very chill. That could be because they let out all their aggression in their music, or it could be a result of their culture. I did make a typo though.
