Smokey Robinson and the Miracles were HUGE, as huge as the Supremes, Temptations, Otis Redding and all of the other great original R&B bands/singers. Amazing moment in musical history, right there. I wonder why Smokey didn't want to sing at first, but they caught him by surprise maybe. They faded straight into it from Sara Smile. I think this is his most soulfull beautiful song. Just amazing. Nobody like Smokey, and Daryl knew that. This is my favorite version because both these guys have hearts of gold. SO Cool!

Daryl wanted too sing oh baby with smokie more than any other song. When asked smokie said no.so,daryl and the band came up with a plan. They just kept playing at the end of sara smile, hoping smokie would catch on and give it a oh baby. Thats what happened. Everybody was laughing. The first lines after that are pretty sung pretty high. You can hear daryl trying to get smokie to sing them. Daryl was forced to do those lines, and he did a good impression of smokie. The you hear daryl say are we doing the whole song? I said to myself, i hpoe so you got okie started keep it going. Not to be critical,but next time try playing sara smile first, its kinda lile one song. Both songs sound good on there uwn,but in this case they sound great together. Im sure you will agree.

Just thinking this was filmed about 10 years ago Daryl was about 64 and Smokey was about 75 and they still sound this good and I have to mention Darrell's band is incredible why does my phone always spell Darrell's name two ways stupid phone
