I have nothing but deep respect for anyone who does this kind of work. I work in the steel pipe industry as a sandblaster and powder coater. No doubt some of those pipes were future sewer pipes. So yeah deep respect for the fellow hard-working man. Especially this type of work. Keep up the good work and content matey :).

Other drain unblockers use orange gloves that tear and disintegrate (cough Olly and Ratty). But you use touchntuff! lol

Hi Andy, that looks like it was a layout designed to block on that tight angle. But no job is too tough especially when you wear touch and tough 🤣🤣🤣👍 Think that your engine is due a service and sounds like you may have some dirt in the carburettor. I have now started filling up all my machinery with a funnel which has a brass screen filter and you would be surprised at the small particles that it catches (almost like sand). There is only one place it can be coming from and that is the expensive E5 fuel that I buy and I am sure that you know but you can't run small petrol engines on E10 as they die!

now when they built that chamber they should have put the exit at 45 degrees to throw the crud towards the xit you would not have had the build up on the exit of the pipe as there would be nothing ther to build up against bad design leads to poor flow and hang ups causing blockages

It's so often the case that because it's below ground, the pipes are literally thrown in, not just modern additions but often old glazed pipe too. Every now and then, you come across a nice brick chamber with tidy brickwork and benching and pipe branches set correctly built by someone with some pride, but it's rare. The other problem is that whilst old glazed pipe was socketed in yard long lengths and needed a accurately dug trench 3m or 6m plastic pipe can be layed with less accuracy often in a flat bottomed trench with the pipe shimmed up underneath with junk to get the fall then backfilled. Obviously, over time, the material under the pipe settles, and the pipe dips, giving a poor fall.

Nice one Andy. Am I the only subscriber who feels that the arrival of Jack at Mersey Rod wasn't 100% welcomed by the rest of the team? I think he is disruptive and could easily become a bully especially to Justin. I also don't think he's good enough to go out by himself. I wouldn't be happy if he came to do my drains, although I'd be too polite to say so.
