Hey, I made the post you referenced and I appreciate the shout-out! Thank you for making a high-quality video on this--it'll make it easier for others to play around with the glitch and share what they learn. I've got some totally disorganized thoughts to add to the conversation: First - I've learned it's best to restart the OP-Z every time you switch away from using this glitch to a normal track--otherwise you'll get weird artifacts and FX and tapes won't work until you restart Second - if you put a tape plug on an FX track (note: glitchy but fun), you can use the LFO to modulate the tape speed by setting the destination to parameter 1 or 2. Third - one of the most interesting (and unstable) setups I've found is one with three tape plugs. You can use this to instantly vary your track through mute groups: keep the drums and bass the same but send the chords/lead/arp to different tape plugs (adjust dry level for additional variation) and sequence different start points for each and/or lengths for each. On one group, mute FX1/FX2/Tape, and on the other shift-mute the chords/lead/arp tracks. Switching between mute groups will then immediately add variation.

Nice trick :) My first thought is that originally, the tape function on the OP-Z was a regular third FX track. Later on in development they decided to turn it into a dedicated tape FX slot. But then again, it's just a wild guess.

WTF?! gonna try it now! And yes, its been long time since last firmware updade, which is sad, but customable channels is great idea for future updates..

i'm in love with this trick and plan to use it extensively while recording and experimenting i only wish there were more zfx to choose from!
