I am VERY thankful for his advice....I was shock because its something I realized I did and I needed to hear that and change it! when he spoke about controlling the situation less to get more instead of knit picking at everything give the person a chance to show u they are willing to compromise ....that was definitely me , I make mention of everything and now that he said that its actually true ,it does come off as controlling and can be frustrating and cause problems. Before you decide to be with someone and marry someone, you should have the same goals. You should be with someone that is your friend first. Someone who see life as you do. Someone who want the same things as you. One might make more money than you or move faster professionally than the other but that shouldn't change the dynamics of the relationship. As one unit, communication is key. Both should have their friends because both should have other interests but respect and honesty of your family and partner should be first. Now if one changes the dynamics of the relationship then the relationship most likely won't work. If one feels because their doing better than the other at one point or change the goals in the relationship or feels less than or ignored then infidelity and other issues may occur. Relationships always take work. Communication and honesty is key and can be hard but anything positive takes work.
