Thank you! You seem to be one of the few sane and reasonable people on this platform that actually understands the capabilities of a device like the Flipper Zero. Very few people talk about the flaws in the attacked systems and how any serious system design wouldn't rely on public identifiers, but instead use cryptography.

Thank you Paolo. The flipper can do a lot of thins, but there are so many videos out there describing capabilities that simply isn't true.

I used my flipper at a hotel and it had me scan the card then the lock and then the card and worked every time. I recently got the flipper so I don’t know exactly what it did but it would seem that it detected the key and emulated it properly for the lock to open

I just changed my door lock to the newest samsung electronic lock and it only was able ro read 38/40 keys off the cards. When i tried it, it set off my doors alarm and it went off saying, unregistered keycard. And the door lock, went into lockdown and alarms blazing

That's because you didn't have enough knowledge. If you used something better than a flipper you could crack all keys offline and not trip the alarm

There's a few ways but it'll cost more than a Flipper costs. Can also run a setup where you can scan cards from 6-10+ feet away, enough to not need to have physical access just walk by. You'll have to pay me if you're too lazy to Google yourself. But you should already pay me for the valuable information I already gave you

Indeed most of the people who post video where they can open hotel room, is simply beacuase the hotel did not encrypted the key. I have tried several hotels, and most of them are updated with the correct encryption. FlipperZero is a good but basic tool.

Flipper is a swiss army , a jack of multiple trades but master of none . You'll need more expensive, technical equipment to crack those hotel keys which most flipper owners don't possess (as most are script kiddies with zero Linux skills). I crack hotels/casino keys all the time when I go, 3-4 different times each with 3-4 different devices for sport. I bet whomever I'm with that I can crack and emulate the hotel key before we hit the room from the time front desk gives us the key... Double points if I crack it before we hit the elevator and I use a copy to access our floor (many hotels lock floors to using a key) . The only one I haven't cracked yet (I'll brute force one day) is an Ultralight-C but that's still one of the most secure cards out today. Everyone else with passwords (I'm an IT systems admin with Cybersecurity certification, so playing with a flipper all day is part of my 6-figure salary job) including my work badge and hotels are cracked in seconds. Knowledge is power
