The McWilliams Residence, by John W. McWilliams (1958). Inspired by the Case Study program Engineer John McWilliams set out to build his own personal residence on a Long Beach lot which housed a lumber yard for the Los Altos tract in which it stands. The Architectural elements of the home can be seen on many of the Case Study homes from its time. Blake Nicolai and his Family admired the house from afar on their commute to and from work and when the stars aligned they found themselves purchasing this Architectural home to make it their own.

I love the clerestory windows and the lighting that washes up on the ceiling from the suspended beams.

so many great houses! the production and story telling is so captivating that i get upset every time i see the closing credits! haha i wished they were a bit longer. this channel is SO underrated & i hope more design enthusiasts- anyone who can appreciate history, design, and great storytelling finds this. please keep making more!
