OPEN WORLD Star Wars Game announced | EA loses exclusive rights. Star Wars Gaming has taken a turn for the better with the announcement of Lucasfilm Games. While I liked two Star Wars games out of EA which are Jedi Fallen Order and Squadrons, there unfortunately wasnt much else that I enjoyed. With this announcement we saw a trailer for an Indiana Jones game which I am VERY excited for but the biggest anouncement was an OPEN WORLD Star Wars game. We dont have any information beyond the fact that its in development with Ubisoft. This is the way.

I've honestly enjoyed all of EA's Star Wars games so far, but it never made any sense to only allow EA to be making them! 😂 Other studios could've been working to give a range of games alongside them, so glad they finally are now!

I think for me it was more that their games didnt do much for me beyond JFO and Squads. But I agree they should have allowed for so much more studio help for various games instead of waiting...forever haha

An open-world game set post-ROS would be interesting. I can imagine going to all the independent worlds, helping out with local problems. Maybe we could even see the founding of the G.F.F.A, if they wanna use that Legends lore.

I missed the era a LucasArts games (original BF was so boss) so I’m happy for this new stage, even if I’m mad at Ubisoft for a lot of reasons. But I think everyone threw an Ewok celebration of EA losing the rights.

@@ATATChat I’m willing to wait a while if the game is worth it and most importantly, polished and complete. Ubisoft is notorious for cycling their titles out so frequently that it fatigues franchise. (My fav Assassins Creed is an example). But I think they have enough capital to shop around studios who’ll do the games justice. Hopefully Ubisoft can fulfill that.

Its great Ubisoft making an open world star wars game where the developer behind the Division game taking charge of development. But I actually like to see more other companies have a chance to put their own vision of Star Wars to expand the universe even further than before. Also in regarding to era I like to see something in the High Republic or the Old Republic due to many possibilities for lore expansion within the rubble.

High Republic could be really amazing and a way for people who are reading the books to finally visually invest themselves in that era/make sense of it. With that said, Old Republic will always be welcomed by me.

It does annoy me personally that still so many people look down at stories or don’t want “campaigns”. It’s Star Wars, story is their big thing and I’ve always felt essential to any game. I love my lightsabers and blasters too but, I need more than that. That’s why Fallen Order was so great apart from gameplay!

This is GREAT. I think a lot of great games have been held back because of those exclusive rights. I still play battlefront 2, and despite EA’s business practices, the game is beautiful. It shouldn’t have been essentially the ONLY game for the bulk of those years. Just seeing what has been produced recently, and what is coming down the pipe (not to mention the diversity of old SW games) has made that pretty clear

I actually quite enjoyed Battlefront 1 and 2, just for the multiplayer, playing against my friends and my brothers. I am hoping to get Fallen Order because it looks awesome, but I am so glad it's not just EA making the games now. Now more studios can make what they really want, and I am very happy about that. (For the open-world game, I'd like to see a Red Dead Redemption-Style, open-world RPG/Shooter/Adventure game, based on The Mandalorian. I'd also like to see Fallen Order 2, and possibly a new version of The Force Unleashed)

EA did lose their license, but just to be clear they are still going to be making a lot of Star Wars games. They had their own press release where they stated they had more in the works and would be working with Lucasfilm Games in the long term. But I am super happy that now multiple studios will be able to work on projects! All very exciting stuff and I’m hoping for a large variety of games now!

To address how active BF2 is, it is having some of it's highest player counts in a while. Not only has it been added to Xbox's gamepass, it is free on the Epic games store. The community is quite passionate, especially after the success of BF2'S brilliant live service, and most fans are desperately wanting and speculating a BF3 (sadly leading to clickbait around rumous with no evidence). Overall I am very excited. I always wanted an open world Star Wars game. I hope we get something similar to RDR2 (one of my favourite games) where you are a bounty hunter. Story driven gets me excited, as to be honest most Ubisoft open world games I have played seemed to put story second, and it made the game quite dull once you get over the gameplay loop. EA has confirmed they are working on multiple Star Wars games. Fallen Order is all but confirmed to be in production at respawn (my favourite development studio). I hope we get a BF3, but we know DICE isn't working on one, and it will have to do a lot to live up to BF2. I simply don't think we will get a good BF3 from DICE for several years. And for the Indy game, it is exactly what I always wanted. What has me most excited is the licenses is no longer exclusive. I loved all the EA Star Wars games, and have spent too much time playing the morden battlefront games. But, no one publisher should have the license. Not even EA wanted it. All this means now is we get more games. Which is win for everyone. And I hope Lucasfilm Games ensures the same high standards of Star Wars games that we had these past few years. A very optimistic time, I cannot wait!

JFO reinvigorated my love for SW gaming. So knowing its confirmed makes me happy. You're probably right about BF3. The Indy game I feel will be so much fun. Punching some Nazis, haha.

I wish they had used this chance to revive Lucasarts, for nostalgia if nothing else. I remember enjoying a point and click Indiana Jones adventure game they made back in the 90’s, often forgotten when there is so much other legendary output.

Technically speaking EA does still have access to the license till 2023 so that's a bummer, but knowing that it'll be the end and we can finally get more (non-monetized) Star wars games in the future gives me a good feeling.

Is it too much to hope that we can also get a re-release/graphic update of KOTOR?! or even another Force Unleashed now (would love to see Sam Witwer as Starkiller again). But seriously, an open world game sounds amazing and as far as what era, I wouldn't be mad if they give us an open world game set during the High Republic, or post TROS--just something new to explore! I also wouldn't mind an open world Mando game. So many fun possibilities. I'm excited!

Id be cool with those games with a big revamp. Force Unleashed and JFO were pretty similar in some ways to me. High Republic would be dope but im hoping for a mando era game / bounty hunting game.

i want to create my own character in era of Star Wars but if i had to choose i would choose maybe the high republic? i want new worlds and eras of Star Wars i dunno. Love your videos✌️

Imagine having access to the whole galaxy and at any point you go "I feel like going to tattooine" or some uncharted repair station with hidden interesting missions or items from previous generations. Assassins creed valhalla is amazing so I can only hope ubisoft takes just as or more care with this product.

Ok Now comes a bit of a rough story with Rey going through her pregnancy. It could be a lot so hang in there. There was one day that Rey gets so angry and so fed up with a day full of bullshit and she was in the middle of the middle part of her pregnancy but disregards that at the moment she's just about had it and finally snaps and goes off (In all caps) Rey: WHY IS IT THAT I HAVE TO GO THROUGH TOOTH AND NAIL AN ARM AND A LEG TO GET MY POINT ACROSS OR HAVE ANYBODY LISTEN TO ME AND FUCKING TAKE ME SERIOUSLY FOR ONCE! OH MY GOD I FEEL LIKE I'M IN CRAZY WORLD, I'M LIVING IN AN ALTERNATE REALITY! ANYBODY WHO HAS A FUCKING PROBLEM WITH WHAT I HAVE TO SAY WELL GET OVER IT! I'M A HUMAN BEING! GOD THIS IS LIKE THE SAME BULLSHIT I'VE WENT THROUGH FOR YEARS OF WHEN PEOPLE CAN'T HANDLE ME BEING MY OWN PERSON! TELLING ME I'M A MARY SUE AND ALL THAT HORSEHIT! STILL TALKING ABOUT IT! I'VE.... (Shrugs in frustration) I'm gonna go home I'm done. (Later that night) When she comes Home and tells Ben about it he is not happy he’s very upset that Rey yelled like that because it puts her and the baby at risk causing a lot of extra stress she does not need and is unnecessary. Ben: While I am happy you stood up for yourself but at the same time you’re carrying a baby you’re going through a very unique pregnancy different than most women because of what we are and the baby’s sense is so powerful she’s feeling your energy she is picking up on your anger and that could influence her because the way you get angry is much more extreme than my anger and I know I’ve had serious anger issues but you are no different we don’t need this again. The world is tough as it is and we don't need to make it harder for her or contribute. You deal with your own assholes and so do I but this is not healthy for the baby to prematurely traumatize her for life just because she sensed mommy having a bad day and mommy still has a lot of anger. You don't want her to carry your anger or mine and you still have a lot of anger you can't get past. (Sighs) We can't walk around with an angry energy just because there are people that still won't listen.Rey: You're right though I still have a lot of anger that hasn't gone away and makes me so fearful. (Sniffs) Let alone where I came from and who I am a descendant of. (Sniffs) I still see myself from where I was on Exegol and when I was on Pasana shooting lightning out of my hands. (Sniffs and voice sounds breaky) And being so lonely and afraid all those years in the desert. (Wipes tears off) And wondering if I am ever good enough to be what I want to be and master what I want to attain and half the time I feel like I am in no control of myself and on top of this all I want to be a good wife and a good mother because I've never had one. And I feel like I'm letting you down because I haven't been so kind to you as of lately or fair to you. You deserve better, for a wife and mother of your unborn baby. (Cries on his shoulders.) I'm so sorry Ben. (Crying) Ben: You're not. You’re not. (Rubs her on the shoulder and kisses her on the head.) Rey I think maybe you need help, you need to talk to somebody other than me that will hear all about your history and your anger. Especially if it's still having such an impact on you and you don't want the baby to pick up on that later on.I’ve resisted help for a long time until I had no choice but to get help myself because I wanted to be better. If anything I’ve learned more while training with Master Ahsoka and one of the most important things she’s taught me is that in your past you can learn to forgive but never forget. Rey: I should talk to her. (Sniffs) Ben: You should. (Kisses her hand and rubs on it sighs) Let’s get ready for bed then.

They ought to know that it could be dangerous making a pregnant woman very angry. And when Rey is with child the last thing anybody should do is piss her off
