Going to make my order in early March. I've seen some people have issues because the frame wasn't square. I hope to get a good order.

Hi, what is the biggest piece of plywood I can put in the lead 1515 ? Would a 1250x1250mm sheet fit in, even if I can't cut it from end to end ? Thanks

Building mine right now... I file off the little nubs on the cast corners so it sits flush where it would not sit in the slot. Doing so makes the corner seem more stable.

Just built mine and this thing is a beast. So glad I went with this over some of the other new "Pro" models out there. Solid components, great customer service and a seamless build. My only grip is I wish the conductors on the back NEMA motors were longer then 3ft as it doesn't leave much room to move things. Also more stickers HAHA

@@OpenBuilds I noticed your prices are much lower than Avid's, which is where I had planned to buy from. I thought I was missing something, but maybe not? Your prices are really that good?

Thanks Tom we do our best to keep this on the fun for all level. We are a company based on the open principle of helping others the best we can. We found years again that the machines we are making for wood working can do the same projects all the other machines can do at a fraction of the cost. We noticed that when working with wood we didn't need the precision of making surgical tools and so we did our best to cut cost by leaving out the expensive unnecessary items creating a machine anyone can understand and most of all afford.

I’ve been interested in buying a cnc machine for a while now. I currently have an awesome laser cutter but would love to expand my shop to be able to cut bigger pieces- I started getting into making home decor pieces. When it comes to this cnc, do all the parts come in the box ready to just be assembled or do I have to purchase certain pieces separately & build it up myself? I have no experience in soldering or electrical smarts... just wood & building stuff lol. So, I need something that’s ready to be put together straight out of the box! I’d love to understand so that I can make my purchase. This cnc seems to be well spoken of and also easy on the wallet. Lol

Both are great machines the real differences on the LEAD 1515 is the ridged double X axis and because its modular so you can mod it in may ways such as making it taller.

Hi Marco please have a look at the specs for the LEAD CNC machine bundle and notice that because its a modular system the LEAD 1010 Z axis can be strengthened and raised up to fit your application - openbuildspartstore.com/lead-cnc/

Leadscrew tensioning system is so much better than 1010. Why don't you guys do the same for 1010? If I knew it in advance - I would rather go with 1515, not 1010.
