Si sits down with former Rangers full back, Maurice Ross as he details the intense academy upbringing under the mentorship of hard taskmasters such as John Brown and Jan Wouters which led to him becoming a Rangers 1st team player.
Once there, Maurice gives us an insight into the high demands within a Rangers squad which was littered with internationalists of the highest calibre as they went toe to toe with an equally strong Celtic team for domestic honours.
They boys also chat about Maurice’s recent career as a coach and his aspirations in that field going forward.

To be honest..I never really liked him when he was playing but to watch this interview he comes across as a highly intelligent,articulate passionate guy.Hope he does get a chance at a good club.

Good to hear from Maurice Ross, who was under-rated by most, and a great reminder of the many fantastic players in Advocaat's Rangers that some people don't even mention - Craig Moore, Jonas Thern, Tugay, Rod Wallace, Numan, Cannigia, Arveladze, Mols - what a time that was to follow follow.

Comes across as a fantastic bloke. He was never a bad player and probably made a bit of a whipping boy unfairly at times. Does sound like a guy who should still be involved in the Scottish game. Seems to have a lot to offer.

I think Advocaat probably put Deboer up to the wee fat pinch test antics on maurice , just like he done with Barry Ferguson, having Numan keeping tabs on him .. constantly asking barry where he was going at weekend, what he was eating .. Just a like a strict mentor to keep you on your toes ! .. Plus you respect it more coming from a pedigree player ... Top interesting and intriguing interview , showing the insights of whats involved . 👍
