Opening a 100 Year Old WW1 Bandage

In this video I open up a 100+ year old American bandage from WW1. There are no videos showing this online and no good pictures of the contents so I hope this is interesting to you!

Dude, please film the whole process of opening it. No matter how messy etc. It's part of the allure of watching things like this.

The second bandage in the can was to cover the severe hand lacerations you would receive from opening the can.

The clever thing about the Safety Pin is it is all made from a single piece of wire.

I expected them to be completely rusty since it looked like the can had lost its seal a while back. Quite a pleasant surprise.

The new idf bandage is very similar to this and the ww2 one tho in plastic

THESE SAFTY PINS ARE SMALLER VERSIONS OF THE EXAST SAME DESIGN AS THE U.S. W.W. I CAVALRY SADDLE BLANKET PINS , EXCEPT THESE ARE PLATED SILVER ( I WOULD GUESS FOR SANITARY REASONS ) AND THE BLANKET PINS ARE JUST LEFT PLAIN BRASS. I HAVE TO ADMIT I SHUDDERED WHEN YOU SAID YOU WERE GOING TO OPEN ONE OF THESE ( AS EXPENSIVE AS THEY ARE ), BUT IT WAS VERY INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT WAS INSIDE AFTER ALL THE YEARS I HAD ONE, BUT NEVER KNEW WHAT WAS INSIDE. WHITE ROOK....OUT !
