In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZfaq earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

Andrew is the perfect foil for Stephanie on Cadeau - no peeking in the box! I love Andrew’s sense of humour and hope to see him helping again. Mummy’s shoes look gorgeous on her and each and every one of the fabrics are so beautiful. Instead of making most of them into cushions would the fabulous orange longer strips ( or any other) be enough to make seating cushions for the outdoor settee or chairs? All colours can be intermixed for outdoor summer cheer.🎁👏❤️

Yes Stephanie, you were correct. The bird house is a gourd. Gourds were used in parts of Southern Africa to carry water or store a drink made from millet. Smaller gourds with a long neck were used to scoop drinking water, like a ladle. Gourds are also found in South America. All your You Tube channels are priceless! Andrew is great at assisting. He is hilarious! I will so miss this channel. I'm a military disabled veteran and get so much enjoyment watching you, Philip, mummy and your lovely assistant's open such unimaginable gift's from such generous viewer's. My husband and I had a St. Bernard “Louie Bruno”. Seems like the ideal size dog for a huge Chateau if you ask me 😂😉. The only downside is having to wipe down the slober splatter off walls and furniture all the time ❤

The piece of material with the orange and pink that is like a skinny piece. You should do a long bolster pillow as a decorative pillow for one of the bedrooms, a massive one that fits right along a queen size bed ., it would be gorgeous.

Andrew is hysterical! I love how he was keeping Stephanie under control by not letting her get into the boxes! 😂 The fabrics are gorgeous! It’s so sad that some items broke. At least a few are fixable. And those shoes were fabulous! Mummy looked very stylish in them. 😉

The fabric is divine. The blue definitely a headboard or winged chair. The narrow border fabric would look nice on a wall as a border around the room. Fabric also makes cushions, decorative boudoir pillows and bed runners. Such generous gifts.

Oh the shoes on mummy!! So sad they didn't fit Chris but mummy's feet look so elegant, I gasped. Also Love Andrew ! I know he is good for reaching objects up high (haha, I say the same to my three boys who are way over 6 foot), but more than that his kind and just lovely personality, where he is there as a wing man, is so appreciated.

Here in NC the gourd is hung as a bird house for a particular bird called purple martin. They eat mosquitoes! Great cadeau!

You can make those beautiful fabrics go even further if you just use them for the fronts of the cushions and use something plainer for the backs.

Andrew is easy going. Can imagine him not showing much emotion on the outside anyway, even if things are not moving in the kitchen as it should. He will find a way to make it all work out. Peacock table cloths are absolutely grand! Perfect for LaLande! If only the Peacocks could know how much they are loved and symbols used for them. lol Crazy over the embroidered design cloth very stunning! Love watching how happy the opening gifts make each one and will miss it but can understand your thoughts on it all.

My daughter and I have been doing Renaissance Festivals for 25 years. We were part of the cast in the Connecticut "Ren Faire" for over 18 years. Great fun, especially when you go out to dinner with " a knight in shining armor" or in garb.

Hi Stephanie and Phillip and Mummy and Andrew! Love you all do much. I’m sad you’re stopping Cadeaux but I understand. I am a bit of a procrastinator so I have a box of gifts I’ve been gathering for the past few months. I’m sad it won’t be opened on the air. But I understand. I just wanted to mention the beautiful gourd birdhouse looks like it’s for a larger bird like a woodpecker or bluejay. I don’t think you would want to attract that type of bird in the garden. I think you may want to put it elsewhere. Thank you for sharing your vlog with us, it’s such a joyful experience during the week.

Hot tip, Maremma Dogs are used for protecting/guarding livestock. They would protect your Peacocks & chicks and could help with herding & moving the sheep. They are extremely cute too. It would be just another LaLander and would cope well being at the Chateau when you travel.
