Opening an Original Edison Amberola 30 Still in its Original Crate

CAPS Member Bill Tarling opens this completely original Amberola found in its original crate. The Canadian Antique Phonograph Society has been bringing together collectors of antique talking machines and records for 50 years. amazing that the spindle turned due to hardened grease or oils in the mechanism and the speed sounded fairly correct....thanks for the upload

What became of this particular phonograph? I assume Bill has passed since then.

In my opinion, the way they tore apart the packing to get at a generic Amberola 30 was kinda reckless. All the steps should’ve at least been photographed close up. That was likely the last example we’ll ever get, and all we have to show for it is a low-resolution VHS tape recorded from over 10 feet away.

What a brutal rushed unpacking! Would have made a much better historical video if the unpacking was slow and methodical and documented how Edison workers actually carefully originally packed the phonograph.

Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way. We deserve Hell because we've sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.
