Little House has been such a big part of my life. As a child my family was pretty obsessed and we watched every episode. My mother even taught us how to read from the old McGuffy readers that we purchased at the school house at Knott's Berry Farm. My sisters had the Calicos and we even took Xmas photo tintypes. Fast forward to the early 90s when I was myself becoming both a jazz pianist/vocalist and actor and I had the pleasure of briefly working with Dean (Almanzo) in musical theatre. I also have the same birthday as the real Almanzo James Wilder. I met Ketty Lester (Hester Sue) when I was performing at a jazz festival and most of the cast over the years. I was so happy to hear that Jonathan Gilbert (Willie) showed up as I know he has been out of the acting business over 30 years but still made an effort to meet the fans. The actors have been so wonderful and I know this has been an emotional experience for everyone. There will never be again sadly a show like that Little House that showed values of spiritual faith, helping your fellow man and community. Wishing everyone a blessed reunion.

Wow- how wonderful it is that your have been blessed with a wonderful Mom who nurtured you with wholesome opportunities and experiences!! It's great that you've gone on to pursue music and acting and that you were able to meet/work with the LHOP actors. They all seem like genuinely nice and caring people!! I won't get to attend any of the reunion gatherings, so it's great to be able to watch online. I agree that it surely seems that there will never again be a show which touched people in quite the same way as LHOP has. I first watched it as a jr. high kid (in the early 70's with my grandparents (who were born in the 1890's). They were reflective and nostalgic and I think that LHOP reminded them of some simpler/more wholesome times, although they said that "Life" wasn't perfect as there was injustice, there were stigmas, various prejudices, etc. Their own parents were born at about the same time as Laura Ingalls Wilder. Each "Little House" episode had/has an important message, touching upon things that we humans need to do better so that others can have a better life.

Thank you SO much for posting this! Going to the reunion and the tour would have been a dream come true. Sadly for me, I live in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 and getting there would have been quite the trip 😂 It was wonderful seeing where all the buildings that made up Michael Landon’s “Walnut Grove”, brought back all the memories of all the episodes! One day, hopefully 🤞🏼, I’ll get a chance to visit where the set once stood ❤ LHOTP = the best show ever and a huge piece of my heart and soul ❤

I think they need to make every human on this planet, watch and learn Little House. Not necessarily the Spiritual Faith as everyone has the right to their own belief systems, But… the Moral Values. How everyone helped each other, there were no “conspiracy theories”, children were children and played outside, families worked together to better their family, when a member of their community needed help, the community got together and HELPED them. The world needs MORE Little House on the Prairie ❤ (but we can leave the lack of women’s rights of the 1800’s back in the 1800’s 😉)

Does anybody remembers the bridge? Sometime around Season 5 of the show, a bridge was added to the fictional town of Walnut Grove to make it look bigger. The actual bridge is located at Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch and not at Simi Valley but they edited in such a way the it seemed effortlessly nearby the town of Walnut Grove. People who grew up in the 70’s would remember the bridge from “Crowhaven Farm” TV Horror, “The Greatest American Hero”, and “Charlie ‘s Angels.” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ptxxmq-Q3tuYpKc.htmlsi=5zzaXaC2WjqDJQIy

Don’t have some Perry with my childish show. It has just turned 50 and I have just turned 50 my children watched it. My grandchildren are watching it. It’s a beautiful show and I never get tired of it. It was in the TV industry and love this job one of his first jobs to hold a key card for Michael Landon for bonanza when I was a kid I had no idea what bonanza was I used to get him dad his name is Charles and he would laugh and say his name is Joe And I don’t know his name is Charles, and he would laugh and say his name is Joe this went on for years finally I got old enough that I could read the beginning credits and see Michael Landon for the first time who is Michael Landon, my mother, mom, who is Michael Landon and she laughed and said ask your father, so I went to my father and said Daddy who is Michael Landon, and he laughed and said he’s Joe and Charles so for the rest of my life, the joke was Joe Charles and Michael. Congratulations. This show has accomplished something, no other show could values faith, family family turmoil just can’t get that today. Enjoy your day. You deserve it Michael’s watching.
