Opening 4 packs of cards that cost just under $1000! As a bonus, I also open a pack of Revised!
This is normally a Flesh and Blood channel, but I thought I should do something special for Magic's 30th Anniversary.

For what it would cost to come close to complete set of the 30th you can get a bunch actual power 9.

Based off the simulator, the lowest I ever had to spend to obtain a complete set was 86K and the highest was 227K. I tried this over a hundred times.

I opened 3 dual lands in revised starter decks, a very good hit rate for the meagre money I had. At that point 12 year olds wanted Shivan Dragons and Sengir Vampires. Multicolour cards didn't exist yet. I got two Taiga's and a Tundra. I traded all of them and not for anything of lasting value. I was dumb when I was twelve.

It encourages people to buy singles of existing revised cards like duals rather than buying overpriced proxies from wotc, fighting against the greasy greedy goober goblins working at wotc’s money printing factory

Never buy an old booster pack from unlimited or revised. As a kid I was shown by older kids how to push up the rare and read the card name through the plastic wrapper before buying it. That’s why all the newer stuff has foil wrappers

The booster packs are Commander Legends that I opened carefully from just the top. I used a Sharpie to color them black. I cut out the 30 from another pack and glued it on the front. I put in the new cards and lightly glued them closed (you can see the bottom pop open as I open some of them). The box is an Ultra Pro 100 count box (Channel Fireball). I printed the images and glued them to the box. None of this holds up well if you see it in person, but it works well enough for one video.

Tome used to be really good at its place in time. Pretty sure it's still a staple in "Old School" magic. Definitely not worth the current prices for Revised packs.

There is a real product called 30th anniversary Magic the Gathering. This isn't that product, but a mock up using real cards to show that it is cheaper and better bang foe buck to buy singles than the real 30th anniversary product which is way overpriced for what it is.

I didn't explain that very well. The common slots were cards that were Common in Beta. Regeneration was reprinted as Uncommon in 10th edition, but was Common in Beta.
