As a L&D nurse, I would suggest consulting with a maternal fetal medicine doctor to get their recommendation. I’ve had patients before with WPW and things went smoothly. Best wishes guys ❤️

Thank you for sharing! My 13 yo son just had his surgery on Oct 24, 22 for his WPW and SVT at Texas Children’s Hospital. We found his at 25 weeks gestation and he was born at 32 weeks. He’s been dealing with this for 13 years. They wanted to wait until he was this age before he had surgery. God is so faithful. He did very well. You will be so glad that you had this done. I have SVT and I just had a heart ablation in May. It went undetected until I was in my late thirties and I’ve had three children with no problems. The ablation just made my leg sore and I was fine within 2 days or so. Just wanted to give you encouragement and let you know that it isn’t a death sentence. Praying for you! ❤

I also have this, plus hole in my heart, and another issue with my valve I was born with, the best I could give you is follow up with a CHD dr through a Children’s hospital, some of the best are at Cincinnati children’s, they have saved my life I was just seeing a normal cardiologist and when your born with a heart condition you should be seeing and adult congenital heart dr, they study the heart completely differently then regular cardiologists. Praying for you, I also had to have mine fixed before having a child, but with all my issues I’ve had to have two heart surgeries, best of luck, and just remember God will get you through it if you do, all in his plan, he’s walk along side me since my parents found out and was told I wouldn’t make it to the age of 9, I’ll be 43 this year, God is Good!!

I have Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome I had surgery in 2019 for it they told me after I got out of surgery if I didn’t have it right then I would have died by the end of the year so I’m in tears because it’s so awesome to hear someone else’s story

I don’t remember anything because I was little but my parents told me years later that I would also have episodes & they’d have to ice me until my heart quit racing. The doctors did an ablation on me when I was two years old, and I’ve had ZERO issues since (thank the Lord). I’ll be praying for you ♥️♥️

I had the exact same thing! It started when I was in elementary school. Mine really got worse with pregnancy. I had the ablation and it was the BEST decision I ever made. I actually had the ablation done at 20 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I took lots of medication during the first 2 pregnancies and not all were great for the baby but were our only option. Eventually the medication couldn’t control it and I was having to go to the ER almost weekly. Mine also was very close to the SA node. I don’t think you’ll regret the decision to have an ablation. 100% worth it!

I’m going to remember y’all in prayer, let my family and church know as well. My boyfriends sister is having a baby in about a month, well she’s High risk and can have it at any moment. She’s had 2 miscarriages the past two years, latest one was born in her car after the hospital sent her home saying she didn’t have contractions. I have SVT which is very similar to what Sophia has and Im so glad to know someone else struggles with the same thing i do. Hi Soph! I have had a cardiac pacemaker since I was born

I got diagnosed with SVT at 9 and I've been taking the medicine since then as well, Ive noticed the medicine makes my heart rate feel so slow! But thank God over the years my episodes have been like 10 times a year at most. I drink caffeine now and take the medicine so it rarely happens!

I have a cousin that was diagnosed with POTTS disease she had several episodes of passing out and it is incurable. Most folks that have it I heard has a service dog that will notify them when they are about to pass out. Then go get their meds and water for them. But after having trouble for a few years my cousin got prayer at church and Jesus healed her. She hasn't had any trouble for several months now.

I used to have a heart condition and was told I was just always gonna have it but Jesus completely healed me 😊

Hey!! I had an ablation done when I was 16 for my SVT. I had five extra electrical pathways which we found after wearing a heart monitor for several times that my HR got as high as 285 bpm. Since having the surgery my HR has been so much better! I still have one pathway that was not fully developed so it increases my HR a little but I haven’t had any episodes since and I am 21 now! They went through my neck and groin and you can’t tell! They tried freezing mine twice while in the procedure but ultimately had to burn it to close off the pathways. It seems scary but it has helped so much!!!

You don't have to be scared Sophia . I had 2 open heart surgery's first 6months i had (AVM) second 13 years old had valve narrowing and congestive heart failure,I'm now 21 have to get another surgery in a couple of years . You are in my prayers. GOD IS GOOD🙏

My brother, who is now 26, had the same exact heart condition when he was a kid. He had the surgery where they ablated the extra electrical pathway when he was 9 and didn’t have any issues after. Sorry to hear that the location of your pathway makes surgery more risky. I wish you the best!!

Girl I diagnosed a fellow shipmate in Cuba with the same diagnosis as you and it was unbelievable she didn’t find out till 19!!!

My niece had that. She had surgery at 9 yrs old bc her heart rate had at one point got up to over 350 bpm. They went through her groin and did the ablation. She has only had a few episodes since then. She was terrified when she got pregnant that something would happen to her or the baby, but she was fine and so far her daughter is 3 and hasn’t had any issues. Dr. Donner in Rome, Ga is her cardiologist. They just monitored her really closely during pregnancy. I’ve never known anyone else with WPW. Best wishes and prayers for y’all! God always has a plan!!

I have complete congenital heart block and got my first pacemaker at 11. being paced has been the best thing for me bc i dont have to worry what so ever about passing out or my HR dropping to my blocked rate (between 5-45 bpm).

Soph will be okay. How odd. As an adult who received poor health care as a child, I was just diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. It felt like every other diagnosis was thrown at me first. So far, no one wants to do the scary ablation because my vagus nerve drops right over my AV node and then goes back up over the SA node. But I don't have any issues as long as I don't exert myself. While it feels nice to finally know what was going on with me for all those years, it still stays in the back of my mind that an episode could happen again. I do hope the best for Soph and your future family.

the doctors thought i had wpw for a while but it turned out that i just have dysautonomia so i wish you the best i have a loop recorder implanted in my chest and i forget i have it, best decision ever!! you should definitely look into it!!

I have Wolff Parkinson’s White Syndrome TOO!!! I would break out in full body hives and you could see my heart beating through my clothes too!!! I was diagnosed at 17 and had an ablation and now I am totally great! No more loops ❤

I had this same experience last year. I am 22 now but I had the surgery last year at 21. I was very nervous about the surgery. When you get in the room they immediately put you to sleep. I did not remember anything about the surgery. I was able to leave the hospital the same night to recover at home. I had them go through a vein on my leg so the only pain was kind of just being sore in that area from them going in. The pain was not anything unbearable just a bit sore for about two days. Other than that i was completely back up and working out in 4 days.

I also have WPW, mine is genetic and my EKG was normal at birth. I was diagnosed as a Sophomore in high school (now 26). I had my 3rd ablation in January of 2020 and thankfully it has not come back since! I had multiple extra pathways, one next to the Bundle of His. If it does come back it may require a pacemaker. Dr. Sunny Po at OU Med in Oklahoma was a Godsend. Jesus heals!❤

One of my twin sons had that and they did surgery and he’s never had a problem since

I have a heart condition as well! I have heart palpitations and I have to be sooo careful with caffeine too and anything that causes my heart to go faster. I had to leave my driver's ed after my first attack and had to go to the doctor and therapist and it has continued to have a large effect on my life. You are definitely not alone and it's so scary!! I have never heard of handstands though helping with that! I believe it was from pulmonary stenosis, and as a child I had my picture on the board in my elementary schools to warn teachers that I might have to sit out or see the doctor or something. It can really suck :(

I was born with Tetrology of Fallot and I’ve had 2 open heart surgeries. I’m 20 now and my biggest fear is having kids because of my heart condition because it is a risk factor just like yours! You’ve got this girly!

Hey Taylor and Soph! Just came here to say that I am praying for all those things going on with Sophia! I also wanted to say that I have a heart condition as well called CPVT and I have a defibrillator that will shock my heart if my heart rate gets too high or too low. I have lost both of my brothers from this same heart condition, the younger one passed in 2013 and my older brother passed in August of ‘21, at my sister’s wedding 😭…also, I live in Jax and the docs here are amazing! I hope y’all get things figured out and definitely looking forward to y’all’s updates!

As I’m watching ur videos I relate to you so much! I have 2 heart diseases. My 2nd one I had we found when dancing bc of my episodes. I had to wear the monitor & they would give me rashes so bad! And the only soda I could drink was sprite bc it wasn’t caffeinated!

I just saw your IG post. I get similar symptoms, I get a LOT of small heart palpitations, and sometimes I get the hard and fast ones where my clothes move, too! It's terrifying, I feel like I'm gonna die or something, and i've told my doctor this and she brushes it off and says I'm young and healthy. I'll be 31 next month but I'm like health problems don't are about age.... I feel like I need to find a better doctor that'll take me more seriously.

My daughter was diagnosed when I was 26 pregnant and was born at 31 weeks .she’s 3 now and is still on medication 🤍 thank God that she’s been doing so good ! It is rare it was so hard at first but we get use it .

I have WPW also! When I was 12 I felt my heart start pounding, it was beating 262 beats per minute. Scariest day of my life! I've had 2 surgeries for it!

I had an ablation… it popped up in my 40’s, this extra bundle branch of electric stim. It was outpatient. It took the surgeon 5 hrs to find it, and they had to cross the mediastinum (? I think thats the word, Meaning that it had to cross over to the other side of the heart and they found at under some thing, lol. Now I can’t remember, but it all went fine and I’m doing great. My son had wpw …. He had the ablation pocedure at Vanderbilt children’s hospital!!! We found his at birth very scary as a new mom…. He recovered very well!!!

I had Svt and Wpw I had surgery at the age of 12 and now possibly of having them again
