As someone completely new to Infinity, I would have found this video so much better without Carlos constantly interrupting Killian whenever he is explaining something. I really appreciate that Carlos is part of the team that created this game, but he does not possess the enthusiasm nor clarity to explain the game to a newcomer. Killian seems to know everything about it, so Carlos feels superfluous and his constant interruptions made me feel completely confused as to what was going on. The fact that movement can be interrupted by fire from the other team should be something exciting, but Carlos managed to turn the whole thing into a 'process' rather than an exciting skirmish. Watching this video has actually dulled my enthusiasm for the game, through no fault of you guys, but just the way in which this whole thing was delivered. I'd really like to see a video with you both playing the game uninterrupted (and again, I don't mean to take away from Carlos his involvement in the games existence, but he does not possess the enthusiasm one would expect for a tutorial).

Great intro. I am giving this a go tonight with the starter set and the overview of the rules is provided here is going to provide us some help with out first game.

Infinity need to hire a full time PR guy, as much as I like Carlos he lacks the flair and the ability to run any sort of engaging game. This box set is a step in the right direction (I have already pre ordered mine) but your refusal to let go of the reigns is seriously damaging the growth of this game.

Being brand new to the infinity game (only played one demo style game so far) this seems like a fantastic idea to teach people how to play the game without being overwhelmed, the mission progression system was a great idea.

Operation IceStorm is going to be my first Infinity purchase and these videos are only getting me more excited for its arrival.

For all people not already invested in Infinity I have to say: Once you got the basic rules down it really opens up to a great cinematic gameplay and has everything you could ever want in a sci-fi action based wargame. I would definitely recommend you give it a try with the quickstarter rules / icestorm box.

Had my first game of Infinity yesterday running my Nomad force. Had an absolute blast (pun intended) loading my HMG intruder full of orders and wrecking havoc in enemy lines! love the minis from operation icestorm, and cant wait to add them to my nomad collection. great video, 3rd edition rule explanations seem really tight, love the new climb rule (it's something i had questioned in my first game yesterday saying it was a bit silly that i could hurt myself climbing!) Lookforward to seeing the nomads win some more games :D

Some interesting and subtle changes so far. The base edge to base edge measuring won't take much getting used to. Always interesting to see how to play vids with the actual game developer coaching.

I rember starting infinity two years back with the same sort of game - finished with a regular and a Kazak fighting to the death with pistols behind a log cabin.

This is the set that will be getting me into Infinity after so long looking into it. Pumped!

First time seeing this game; as a Warhammer player, I have to say reaction fire (and some form of suppressing fire) is something that makes a game far more realistic. Although, watching them play is almost painful - I get trying to be aggressive, but he ran two guys right trough enemy fire. Who does that? He could have easily flanked around the sides out of LoS - or even tried, I don't know, dodging? Holy balls.

I've always wanted to get into Infinity with my friends but it's always been a big confusing what to pick first, this is exactly what we needed and I'm going to pre-order the box next week, the 4 miniature packs would definitely be a nice addition =D.

Loving this game. I want this box out now. And I also have a question. For rules to start learning what do you do after playing though this box to get the full rules? It seems this is a guided start of basics but will there be a guide for getting into the advanced rules?

Killian is one of the most succinct and well spoken games I've ever seen..

Interesting change to climbing there. Curious to see how that kind of shift carries over to the rest of the rules.

Great start to the week, mini's look class and great idea for a starter set.

I am really liking the terrain and mat that is included! That should make it easier for some of those players that don't have enough of the right terrain.

Since I already have some Haqqislam and Yu Jing, I'm not entirely sold on the miniatures (as beautiful as they are) but I'd love to get my hands on the rest of the box. Those buildings would definitely cut down on the amount of MAS buildings I need to build!

My lovely partner in all things watched this video today after she got back from work. like in most things we had the same thoughts, she just came out and said it all first. "Its amazing watching all the stuff, the imagination going on in there heads. Like how many ways are there to explain the rules to your self? I had no idea so much philosophy was involved." Want to learn more about the "touching" cover system. Seems odd that the models on top of the buildings didn't have cover from those on the ground. Exactly how much of the model could be seen?

I love this game. Found it when BoW did the first Infinity week many moons ago. And it has only gotten better and better. Will be adding this to my collection asap.

I like the change to the climb mechanic, but what happens when the climbing distance exceeds the characters total move value? If the climb is 20", would I spend a single long action to complete it?

Measuring from the center was a big oddity for me as well when I watched a few friends try the earlier rule versions... good thing it looks like there's been a lot of overhaul on obscure or badly presented rules.
