I remember when I just got into Opeth, I was around 13 years old. I was watching this video over and over while waiting for the MAYH, SL and ORCHID album that I had ordered.. How AMAZED I was!

I was at this concert, first row. Dec 13th 2005 - Milan, Italy. They were on the first leg of Ghost Reveries tour. I was 15 and just starting out as a guitarist. I was genuinely blown away forever. Now I'm 35 and after having listened to many other things they still remain my most favorite band. That night was magical. So good. Such a pity this incarnation of the band won't exist anymore.

Miss the earlier years of Opeth. When Peter Lindgren was still in the band and had a hand in the song writing. Loved from beginning to end Orchid, Morningrise, My Are, Your Hearse, and Still Life. After that something is missing for me.

this very video was the second song by Opeth that I listened to! it was back in 2008/2009 if I remember, the first was Black Rose Immortal, I can remember the shivers down my spine when listening to this! it was just epic! and it still is. it was so great to see Opeth live in concert in 2019 in Istanbul! and I hope to see them more whenever I can

The outro, which was left out, is my favorite part of the song, damn it! Oh well. It wouldn't be the same without those exact vocals heard on the album anyway.

goose bumps whenever i think back to seeing them front row in new orleans. freakin amazing. opeth and metallica are hands down my two fav. bands of all time. talk about true showmanship and amazingly powerful music live or otherwise.

I saw them front row in MN. Pretty much the best band ever. They are more about the music, not about the stage presence and I would prefer it that way any day. I don't care if they headbang or not, i just love their music.

his growls sound awesome, he isn't just "gurgling" into a mic, he has one of the best growling vocal style's in metal, the way he can control the pitch is perfect, most vocalists just growl one note, he sounds totally bad ass and evil too, so, basically, you're wrong, his growling style is fucking fantastic.

im not usually fussy about growling, but with a band like opeth it is essential for the contrast of their songs..the brutal, dark parts make the soft acoustic sections so much better.

I wholeheartedly agree. this last week, during my week-long cruise to Aruba on spring break, i devoured this album--probably listened to it 12-13 times whilst reading The Brothers Karamazov. Opeth is a band which gets better with repeated listens. Plow through any initial boringness. You start hearing complex layers and sections become even more emotional. My Arms Your Hearse is one of the best albums of all time. Rewarding band. I'm not generalizing either. I don't think I've heard better.

this band is the shit live. they don't have that crazy of stage prescence, but as you can see each member is just playing their part extremely well and passionately. I remember being blown away by the drummer, bassist and keyboardist.

Opeth is one of my alltime favourite metal bands. Even the latest album was pretty good. There are so many metal -bands today that i'm pretty fed up with average melodeath -radiohits and therefore with almost the whole scene. Older metal bands rule!

I love Opeth. I heard about them but never cared to check who they were or what they sounded like. After I did I was hooked.What amazed me the most was how they sounded so versatile and how they always had a way to go about their sounds in a song. No wonder they have songs that last 11:00 min lol. I came back to the guitar because of them Guitar ar top notch vocals both singing and screams are amazingly good. I was looking for some dark music and I definitely found the perfect band haha

Opeth is harder to get into than most bands, the music, the lyrics, and the whole feel can be overwhelming at first. Especially the heavy stuff. You can start with more mellow work, "Harvest", "Windowpane", "Hours of Wealth", the whole "Damnation" album. Might ease you in. Cause once you're trapped, it's hard to escape the awesomeness of this band.
