No, Therapy in the modern day is pacified to meet political correct standards and to victimize everyone who is not deemed "normal" and as a result need therapy. In the old days, Hoarding did not exist because therapists would just put you into a insane asylum and they would abuse and assault you and tell you to stop being a self centered fucking pig and those who actually weren't insane came too and stopped acting like a fucking pig in its own shit.

I know this comment is old but a UK show tried this. It was next to impossible to get the clean freaks into the hoarder's house. Half of them quit rather than going inside. When they did get some in the clean freaks spent more time washing their own hands than cleaning the house. When they did clean the house they would focus obsessively on one object or area. Like scrubbing an oven until it was the only pristine thing in the filthy kitchen. In short: it was funny watching clean freaks freaking out about the filth, and watching the filthy hoarder freaking out about having clean freaks obsessively cleaning and organising tiny parts of their shithole. But ultimately nothing got done. I think for hoarders they should get them out of the house, and make them make a list of everything they want to keep - so they can't actually see anything and have to work from memory - anything they don't list gets dumped, burned, or sold without their interference. You know they can't list much of the useless shit they hoard. Be interesting to see how little. A clean up without that bullshit where they spot something being taken out that's been buried for thirty years and they suddenly make it the most important item and want to keep it. Fuck all that.

God Opie is cringey with females. Shlesinger gets a good laugh and Opie says "that's why you're here! Gotham!" I think Shlesinger is funny on this show; didn't enjoy her stand-up. i genuinely like her on this show though, especially her interaction with Bobo. but it's true: this show falls apart when women are in-studio. Matt was on the show about 6 months before this appearance and it was great because there wasn't a woman in the studio distracting the talent!

Listening to this is exactly like watching a teacher try to explain a simple math equation to a room of dumb, irritating, loud, incompetent 8 year olds that all just had a crazy amount of sugar and can't stop interrupting him and he literally can't finish more than a few sentences without being loudly interrupted with a stupid question but he can't tell them to stfu or they'll flip out. He handled these idiots really well and talked to them like they're in kindergarten. I couldn't have been as polite.
