I knew his voice was familiar! He has referred to himself as Ryan and also as Tim. He called in on an ep with Louis CK and was more whiny as Tim. He criticized the show for making fun of newscasters and their news reporter voices, and then they all made fun of him for about 30 mins, including Jim doing the baby voice over and over. And he called as Ryan in an episode earlier in this playlist. That caller is a PHONY.

Only time I heard of seats cleared during a storm is when they issue a tornado warning but lightning dude we still stood in the seats well tbh I moved to better seats on the bottom because some people left. But never have I ever heard people moving to the concourse during a game especially in the midwest and south states where we are in the middle of tornado alley in the spring and hurricane season in the summer and fall.

You might be right. He also sounds like the guy who claimed to work with Lady Di at the supermarket during the internship. I think a lot of the callers were just hyper aggressive tri-state guys and all sound the same.

They've polled Native American groups before on the Redskins and around 75% said they WEREN'T offended by the name. In fact the Seminole tribe have given Florida State their blessing in using Seminole name and imagery for their athletic teams.

Metallica constantly changed throughout their career and were criticized for it, had they not changed at all and released the same record over and over they would be criticized for it and probably had a much shorter career. It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. I personally love Metallica and think St.Anger was awesome, not every single album needs a long solo or sit down ballad, they were pissed off at each other and put out a record that reflected that. It's heavy and pissed off Metallica, deal with it.

Metallica doesn't owe it to anybody to create a specific album just to appease their old school fans but they haven't written anything post AJFA album that even comes close to the quality of their glory days. People have different tastes but to pretend that Metallica has not dipped in quality is ridiculous. Load and Reload were meant for mass radio play as they were basically metal-tinged hard rock albums. St. Anger was just an abomination and Death Magnetic was an average metal album. The truth is they got huge after they changed the style that everyone loved them for. Florentine, Trunk, and those other guys only have knowledge of metal that became mainstream at some point, which means their knowledge of metal overall is really limited. I love Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Slayer and all the rest but there is a ton of great metal out there that is lesser known. If it didn't happen in the 80's douches like Florentine are clueless about it. And I'm not talking about that nu-metal shit or the metal-core shit that exists now.

your wrong, the first few albums were mostly the same they didnt change much and thats the material everyone loves and wants. people like certain music because it sounds a certain way, when it changes its not what they originally liked to begin with. thats why they perform the main hits from the first few albums live still because everything after the black album was pure shit. theyll never make good music again, to many members are gone and they dont know what good music is. alot of bands can get lucky and make a few hits but most bands cant pick out what songs are hits and sound good

I don't think that's true about Florentine only having knowledge about metal that became mainstream. If he was going to see Metallica play their fifth show at a roller rink before they were anything, that tells me that he's just a fan of metal. Plus he said metal is what helped him get sober before he was famous so that sounds like he's really into it.

Hahaha Opie just complained about the band being too loud & that he got a boo boo on his leg bevause of fans pushing at the metal gig. Norton whines about minimum wage ushers being "sssssscumbags". Meanwhile Anthony and Florentine probably just got drunk & enjoyed the gig like normal people.

How sad is it that Jim's trying to get Kenny to ask the band for a picture? That's totally putting him at risk with how touchy they are about Howard's area and bothering his guests. Where does this picture addiction come from? Is it something deep down where he likes to feel like he's someone important who met all these people? Like look how famous I am? Hard to listen to him when he's on one of his tears about pictures.

i havent liked anything metallica did after the black album. ive listened to and justice for all monthly since i had it on cassette as a kid. and if not ajfa then lightning or puppets and sometimes black if i havent heard black in a while. bobs free to his own opinion but the majority of people who are older hate everything after justice or black. a few younger kids like some of the stuff after because they havent grown up on the good stuff that came out before and dont know it exists. when you release good albums like that at the beginning of your career you have a high demand to keep doing that good people expect it. unfortunately bands get lucky with there first album or 2 and end up sucking the rest of there career. garage days kinda sucked

Metallica is the greatest band ever, but the idea that you're a shit fan if you dislike certain albums is a bit extreme. I'm not a fan of Load, Reload, or St. Anger. Some tracks are fine, but on the whole they don't touch the 5 preceding albums. Love DM and like Hardwired a lot. Jim seems to think anyone who dislikes specific albums is an asshole Metallica hater.
