Jocktober itself is awesome, but puts Opie into overdrive because he is afraid of coming off as the hack he is, and thus tries way too hard to come off as a wizened radio veteran with his lame indignation

I would love to go to some of these facebook pages where they do the attacks and see some of the pictures but I catch all of the shows on youtube so im always a day late and a dollar short

OH MY GOD! I remember living in Jersey back in the early 2000s and listening to this guy back when he was co-hosting the morning show for WKTU. Him and Goomba Johnny (another guy they need to find for Jocktober). I remember when he started the "Balt-Buster". I was 12 and though the guy was a genius. I'm 24 and see him for the hack he is.

Yeah, I saw that one. It feels cool that I had an impact on the show like that. I can't wait for tomorrow morning to try to do it again. I was surprised how many people were posting stuff, there were literally thousands of pictures before phase 2.

21:32 Anthony's totally right about the "fake bad singing." Mark Wahlberg in Boogie Nights is an example of this bit done right for once. When he sings "You Got the Touch" he actually sounds like he's trying his best, but isn't very good.

Jocktober lasted 35 minutes, they went late for Michelle and Russell. We could'a easily had no Jocktober today if they wanted to go home at 10am.

I’m from Boston, I remember hearing _Ramiro & Pebbles_ on _Jam’n 94.5_ Boston Rap station when my older sister drove me to school when I was in 7th Grade & my sister was a High School Senior _(September 1997-June 1998)_ because our high school, at the time, was grades 7-12 (and, that school was virtually across the street from Anthony Cummia’s apartment complex when he was on _WAAF_ in Westborough, Massachusetts) I’ve never been into Rap or Hip-Hop…as someone who’s played electric guitar since before I was 2+1/2 years-old… my musical taste is from _Blues_ to _Jazz_ to _Rock_ to _Heavy Metal. R&B_ as they’re classifying it here is like _Boyz II Men, TLC_ & _Salt-N-Pepa_ shit like that which is really more of a composite made up of _Soul & Funk_ blended with _RAP & Hip-Hop_ (not to say that _Boys II Men_ aren’t all immensely talented individuals…I genuinely believe they are…)

If you miss the start, and after Phase 1/2 you need to tone it down to O&A inside jokes mostly to keep it up, or wait until very late at night when they are likely in bed. Like 10 PM on you can get through for a few hours. Rest of the day you have to just post stuff from Chippah, and other inside jokes.

Same here; Boston/New Hampshire radio has sucked without O&A for a long time. I remember when Balthazar and Pebbles were on shitty Jam'n 94.5, the worst music station in history, while O&A were on WAAF back in the '90s. Haven't gotten through the vid yet, but I hope they make fun of Baltazar's annoying, forced laugh, and their obiously fake "Jam Scams" or whatever gimmicky name they have now. Pebbles is the first radio Hole I can remember, and is who I always think of when I picture a Hole.

the pests are funny but i know in life they're the guys that should not live within 100 yards of a school. Jim Norton and other guest comedians on this show say some fucked up stuff but you know they're exaggerating for comedic affect. Dennis Falcone and those others are very likely to one day have their own special on true crime with aphrodite jones or "my neighbor, the child rapist." creepy
