Dude, as PATHETIC as it sounds, every October I used to get so exited, and listen to yesterday's show in the hot tub alone at night and just die laughing. Just perfect little nights alone with the boys doing what they do best. And I would look forward to it ALL YEAR. I swear, it kind of fucked me up when it wasn't there anymore. The guy who's been doing radio since he was 18 doesn't realize that the premise of the date bit is set up ahead of time. The idea is the caller emails the show about his date, then the show contacts him to get her info so that they can get a hold of her and what we're hearing is what happens after that. They put the guy on the air, have him explain the whole thing to the audience, then put the girl on. They show isn't just now finding out about the situation when the guy calls in, they've already known about it. They're just setting it up for the audience. Opie is a fucking dunce.

I really don't think anybody who listens to the show is a fan of Opie. I and others listen because Ant & Jimmy are hilarious, and the guests are great but Opie really drags things down. Not only does he not contribute anything funny, but he's also insanely paranoid about people thinking he isn't manly.

I worked with a guy who love morning show hack radio. He love the war of the roses and the stupid phone scams. when I explain to him about jockyober was and how everything is fake on the radio he actually lost his mind and started yelling at me and saying he loved listening to that stuff and that no way that it’s fake. I literally quit the same day

I fucking hate whenever Opie acts like he's just too cool to pay attention to anything or anyone in Jocktober. "I wasn't listening, what was the bit?" That's not funny, or cool, it's childish. So is playing Candy Crush or whatever during a show, in case that's the excuse.

Well...in the pitiful phone actor's defense, wouldn't you be on guard if anyone from some random company called you out of the blue? I'd be on the defensive too if any company I didn't know called me. So...Opie's point on that doesn't fit here with this being a random internet company. If it were his own phone company that's different as in the others, but it wasn't. Of course you would be like "Who the fuck is this?"
