I love when he pronounces a word in a weird way and then repeats the word over and over.

I personally love it when he repeats or rephrases something a funny person on the show said immediately after they said it in order to join in on the laughter because he is so devoid of humour or personality. Example: Norton described an unpleasent and hot place and said it was "like a sauna" and got a laugh. Opie then said "Yeah, it was like a steamroom in there." No, Opie. It wasn't.

it's weird. you would always hear opie say that people in radio always hang in there too long and it becomes sad. Now look at him. He said in like 2011 or 12 that him and Ant only have a year or so left in them

All he can do at this point is cry about Ant and Jim because he's not intelligent, isn't clever, and isn't funny. He looks miserable. And with his blind arrogance, he deserves every ounce of his obscurity.

My local community is full of dithering old people who retired 40 years ago, bled every penny they could out of the system, released the equity on their homes and, when the money ran out, took all the low paid jobs usually reserved for first-time workers. Now the area is full of useless old shop assistants who don't understand how to work a checkout, live in huge houses they don't own and drive cars they can only afford with credit they'll never pay off. Meanwhile all the 18-22 year olds are terminally unemployed.

Résumés look UGLY when it shows you haven't done shit just because you aren't employed. Applying and applying and applying doesn't mean shit in this day and age, and doesn't show much effort either. You know who gets jobs now? The people that were volunteering, and out networking, the people that were doing SOMETHING to show they're productive.

getting old scares the shit out of me, my mom tells me about how she fell down and couldn't get back up and i cringe with fear, luckily i don't survive on diet coke and taco bell. but then again my dad was even more unhealthy and died when he was 54. i just want to be healthy and die in my fuckin sleep. i definitely don't want to burden anybody.

Most of the people criticizing Opie would be worse if put in his position. Face it, people like Jimmy and Ant are the 1% of funny.

Even if that was the case, it still doesn't change the fact that Opie constantly dragged the show down. But I'd even say that it wasn't the case. I'd bet most people would do a better job if put in Opie's position. Practically every single college radio student in the country would do a better job. Probably most fans too, since at least they would know better than to trample over A&J or repeat punchlines and get pissy all the time.

@Vince Williams YEAH MAAAAN PILE ON CULTURE...Let's all write the same thing over and over....And resent the person who made the show happen.... imagine all the funny OnA episodes we could enjoy without Opie.... LOL Ant and Jim wouldn't have been on the radio at all...And we could have zero OnA episodes to enjoy. He's not a child molester or a serial killer....He's a radio guy who gave a ton of funny people a huge reach on a 5 days a week radio platform....At the time it was huge for them....I'd go as far to say he pioneered "comedy podcasts" as we know it. lol Also....some food for thought....Howard isnt a funny guy...and I don't see anyone complaining about Howard.
