I think I know why they're not getting the respect they deserve: Often the boys had talked about how they would avoid meeting with the PR after the show, not to say that he'd have anything good to contribute anyway. If you have a coworker that didn't come to company meetings and went against the grain of the rest of the business, it would be safe to assume that he'd be mistreated by the rest of the staff. He gets the work done and shows results, but the fact that he's not a "team player" would make everyone upset. I love the boys, but if they wanted things done right they should have at least given the shit company the benefit of the doubt just so that they'd get what they needed.

They were promised a larger studio. They were one of the most listened too on XM before Sirius XM merged. And theyre shoved into a little closet at the Sirius building. When they again, this is to be emphasized PROMISED, a larger studio eventually. And theyre into their second contract with them. They cant even get 5 feet of extra space.

Turned out Opie was the one taking up a seat all those years.

You'd think that after 10 years of bitching on air they would have learned that it takes more than that to get things done. You can't just arrive 5 minutes before the show, talk for 4 hours, and leave immediately. You actually have to talk to the people and maybe, God forbid, have a meeting or two about it. They complain about management being stuck in mud, when really it was just them being stuck and doing nothing about it.

Did Opie, Anthony, and Jimmy ever consider the possibility that Howard Stern, with all of his stroke and fear/hatred of their show, orchestrated all of this aggravation? He could have had an unwritten part of his contract that the company not only keep O&A in a place that wouldn’t “compete” with The Howard Stern Show ...but casually undermine it with purposeful incompetence as well? Maybe this “mud” and “sludge” was created by the power of Howard Stern?

Did they not realize that Howard despised them and would never truly allow them to flourish from within his baby Sirius; Howard was sold on/signed off on having the boys around solely based upon their number of subs that he assumed (or was told) at the time would convert over and count towards his bonus level totals. Once that initial shit was over with and his bonus check cleared there was no gd way Howard would’ve allowed them to continue there at Sirius. It’s why they were brought in and basically bitch slapped from the jump, putti them in that shoe closet and not putting posters of them up and shit. Well then Howard sues the company and the two are at odds- thus Scott Greenstein coming to the boys asking for a lavish big event (he hoped for a huge fuck you to Howard) butttt the lawsuit was settled and so yet again the boys are put right back on the pay no fucking mind list and Ronny B ends up doing a cozy look back on their careers lol wow if they couldn’t see that shit certainly any agent worth a damn should’ve and had them lock in long term deals

Holy shit this show has become Opie's daily complaining platform. Just whining nonstop with that childish "Ray-dee-ohhhhhh" voice.. It's enraging.

I don't think Opie supported Anthony's firing behind the scenes but i do think he probably wasn't as upset as he claimed to be about it, maybe even a little relieved. The sorry state the show was in beforehand and how it became a lot more friendly and tame afterwards to me is an indication of that. Even Anthony's persona on his own show (from the little i've heard) seems more friendly and tame as well. So i think Anthony might have been just regurgitating something that he felt was expected of him. Either way Anthony's rants had to be uncomfortable to attach yourself to at times in our sad increasingly PC culture, which probably was a factor in their decline in popularity. Especially considering your career field, your lively hood is dependent on being popular. I like the show most times but i've even gotten kind of uncomfortable listening to some of the more blatantly racist driven opinions. They totally should have the right to say it but, i don't share all of Anthony's views and i would be uncomfortable having to say "That's our guy". So even if Opie was happy to change up the show i kind of understand… even though it was built on the grave of someone's career i think is awesome.
