Really nice video! Agree with your points. I think the last act made it feel a little bloated. There's a scene after trinity that I think stays with one of the characters for a bit too long which made me feel that way about the last act. That being said, I think it was very good. Probably 8.9/10 for me. Also, really like your voice!

Some of my friends also told me that some scenes from the film could have been cut. I would have to watch the film again to be able to evaluate this more objectively, as I was satisfied for the whole 3 hours in Imax. Thanks also for your thoughts on this piece of art, I am looking forward for common discussion about next films which will come on this channel in next weeks.

As a US citizen born well after these events, I nevertheless feel a deep sense of sorrow, guilt and even a sense of forlorn pride for what was done. It may have saved unforeseen countless lives. It's important to take notice when a film like this transcends "art" to become historic. I didn't expect Barbie to raise more controversy than this.

Totally agree, having a film about the creation of an atomic bomb at a time when a madman in Russia threatens to use them is controversial in itself. As a European, I'm glad that they didn't have time to drop it on Europe during WW2, when they want to drop it in Germany. I feel a deep sense of sorrow regarding the fact that they dropped it on civilians in Japan, which was undoubtedly a war crime, but I don't understand the logic of blaming Oppenheimer for what happened, since this decision was in the hands of the US Army and President Truman. What they discovered had to be discovered, because eventually others would discover it and so it would spread around the world. That discovery was already a necessity at that time. That would be like people criticizing Nobel for creating dynamite.

@@Stories_Collector It's difficult to praise this action or condone it in any way, yet it's impossible to know how many more people would've died if not for the decision to use non-military targets so close to the end of the war. It was important to demonstrate its use, but the civilian toll was beyond shocking, war crime indeed! Crime against humanity. Even though my Polish ancestors came to the USA to leave WWII Europe, I still feel like there's this responsibility we all bear being from the US. Putin and Trump scare me when it comes to nuclear weapons. Both seem eager to threaten their use, and that's really unsettling when such powerful men have such devastating toys.

I think the movie was very different than any other movie I ever saw, but as a non-American I couldn't understand certain aspects of the film, the film was too politically detailed which I did not care for. Nolan says the film should only be viewed in cinemas, and I say this film could only be seen in cinemas as this is a very boring movie and only the background music makes it engaging. If you see this movie in phone the sound won't be as impactful and it would be just boring

It´s true, that movie have complex storyline and it´s one of the Nolan movies which is good to watch again, to be more oriented in what was happening there. I liked that they took a comprehensive view of Oppenheimer's life before Los Alamos and also after it. It depends, for people who don´t have background on these topics and don´t care about these events, it could be boring, as any other movie. I also think that it´s great benefit to see this movie on big screen, not only for big shots but primary for face close-ups, as these emotions could be more intensive and if you see it on phone it wouldn´t have this effect.

An important, interesting history turned into a tedious, boring slog.

It would be weird if everyone like one specific biographical movie..but still, audience score on rotten tomatoes is 94%..so probably most of the people quite enjoy it. At least you know what you don't like :D

@@Stories_Collector I believe the movie maker missed an amazingly intriguing story instead focusing on the much less interesting political aspects and flawed personalities.

@@tombraider2500 it´s true that it could be viewed by someone also this way, but it is unbiased to say that making an exciting film out of 3 hours of dialogues is really a masterpiece. :D (even though I understand it wasn´t exciting for you :D) Just what aspects of this story would you have appreciated if the film had focused more on from your poit of wiew?

@@Stories_Collector There is no level on which this movie could be considered exciting. We all know how the story ended. The huge blockbuster was Op loosing his security clearance. It needed to share what was happening with Heisenberg in Germany, that would have inferred some level of tension. You also could end the film at the end of the war, shared the Japanese perspective and the decision for a second bomb. Perhaps end the movie when Op leaves Pres Truman. The last hour if politics was tedious and wife/kitty//blunt character didn’t resemble earlier portrayal drunk/weak/wife.

@@tombraider2500we can agree to disagree on whether the movie was exciting, but If film had focused more on Heisenberg in Germany, I think it would no longer be exclusively a biography of Oppenheimer but film about creation of Atomic bomb and WW2. Also to this day it is not known whether Heisenberg sabotaged the creation of the bomb or helped without defiance. I think that many people expected a film primarily about the development of the atomic bomb, but it was more about complex and complicated story of Oppenheimer's life.
