Yes , it is not a water proof I'm also using oppo a9 2020 before a month accidentally my phone fall into the water...but it's is working good....there is no problem till now....nice work on oppo.... thanks for oppo

Definitely, Oppo A9 2020 is not waterproof. Though it has a non-removable back cover, still it is not waterproof. It may sustain a few splashes of water, but it will not withstand a drop in water. IP67 or IP68 certification is not very easy to attain. All the ports, SIM stray, and speakers need to be waterproof and ensure no water penetrates. You need to be careful while using your phone, if it drops in water, you definitely need to get a new one.

There is no "waterproof" phone in the world those so called "Waterproof" phone won't survive under a pool for 1 week. They are water resistance phone not waterproof phone.

Ok i just tested by accident a few minutes ago cause my phone dropped into the sink where i was washing dishes while watching youtube and i was scared! Cause i have an lg that i accidentally dropped in a bucket of water and the lg just went dead... But my oppo after wipping it down ( and yes i stuck it in rice for a bit) worked fine! I remember the seller said it was water proof to a certain degree. I was relived! Im typing this comment in my oppo right now im jusy happy it didny broke!

The touchpad not working under water is just because of the water being cold or something. Doesn't have anything to do with the phone, it would do that with most phones

I just dropped my oppo a9 On the canal. Stayed there for half an hour and just a bit of water went into the sim card area. And couldn't connect to network. But after a while it got dry and all good.
