Really cool and advanced phone with all the tech . The fast charging with less damage to battery . The in house image processor, the 5 axis ois, big ultra wide sensor and the huge vapor chamber. All unique features that you usually don't find in other phones .oppo really wanted to make the best phone but that means it costs a ton of money 🤑

Your best review to date, not just one or two things, the whole thing was great from start to finish. I noticed your paired back the quips a little in this video and the phone deserved that. I think the X3 and x5 back camera hump doesn't get the credit it deserves. It's blended in beautifully. Alien tech from the rear and what looks like the slipperiest phone every made. They've also already ported a nice version of the GCam to X5 Pro .... so you can get google's AI magic processing to your photos I'm buying this one definitely

Been using this phone for a wee while now. I got it partly because I have a very young child and it's packed with great features. Using the time lapse to watch her zooming about in her play pen was one thing that was awesome. I also pointed it out the window during a storm and it gives awesome timelapse movies that way too. It seemed pretty expensive but it's not let me down since I got it in August. And oh yeah, it's definately a power users phone.

I'm really glad they improved on the bettery life this time around, because the X3 Pro was absolutely terrble, and it degraded badly in just an year of use

Yeah I had one and it wasn't great. Also wonder if the 65W wired charging (didn't have wireless charging from memory) ends up degrading the battery faster over time.

Looks nice, it's a shame they dropped the 5x periscope zoom they have on the Find X2 Pro. 2x zoom on a phone that costs over £1000 RRP (at the time of this video) is not good

I didn't know it was dropped as I'm still early in the video. That's killed my own interest in the handset. It looks great in every other way, but I love my detailed zoomed shots.

honestly its such a good phone but for £100 more you can literally get the samsung galaxy s22 ultra which has a pen, and literally better everything compared to this

Yeah, I have a phone upgrade coming up, and that and the loss of storage were real disapointments for me with this. My wife and I love travelling, animal parks etc, and I had got some brilliant quick photos with my Find X2 Pro. I'd instantly thought; great, I'll just go for Oppo's newest flagship this time around, only to find they have nerfed it in several regards. Real shame, as otherwise it sounds like a really solid phone. Many people not used to more probably won't care; but the Periscope lens on the Find x2 Pro was FANTASTIC (in fact I often think it is better than the standard lens), and I would really miss losing that functionality, so much so I may just go for the Samsung this time around.

@@SmiffyIrons exynos is worse than snapdragon but both chips are already overkill for 99.9% of the stuff you do daily. i actually got a refurbished s21 ultra for £600 on amazon (£500 for the 128gb version) and i'm literally still satisfied with the 1 year old exynos. would really recommend doing that if you want a new phone for amazing value

And suet, which my dear old mum used to make the finest Roly Poly when I was a nipper. Iv used every single flagship in 2022. If I had to pick a favourite it would easily be the oppo find x 5 pro. This is the best built phone. One of the best cameras. The android 13 update makes this phone even faster and smoother than my pixel 7 pro and iPhone 14 pro max. Yet it doesn't get the credit or attention that it deserves. People teams to be interested in Samsung or apple and they're really not the best devices. The only phone that I'm really interested in for 2023 is the find x6 pro. Not the s23 ultra or OnePlus 11 etc etc. I really receive people give oppo a chance.

great review ... so it kinda comes down to you want a pen (S22) or without but funky design (X5) - other specifics look similar... although vroom vroom charging on the X5 :)

Good review. Are you sure the models that we will be buying will actually have all that writing on them? I just looked on carphone warehouse and on the back it just says Oppo and Hasselblad like you suggested would be the most sensible option?.

I think I have seen a dark blue one. Looks like leather. But I am guessing it's an exclusive to China. It is probably more expensive too. The Oppo find X2 had a leather back. I don't know why they didn't keep it

If Darth Vader used a phone this would be it! Fantastic camera, great battery, super nippy, gorgeous narrow & tall design means it feels a lot smaller than it is. It IS slippery and feels heavy initially coming from a small S10 but 2 days in and it feels at home in my hand. Telephoto lens? Yeah I guess that matters IF you're a bird watcher? 👀

I'm gonna look at upgrading the X2 pro. But keep the X2 knocking about just for its zoom! EE have a great pre order package... I'll await the price per month before I commit. I don't want to pay S22 ultra prices but I fear given the RRP of this it'll be close...

The EE price for the X3 Pro was utterly outstanding... taking away the price of the equal package I was already on (over 24 months), and the value of the stuff in the preorder bundle (Watch, Charger and Case), I paid less than £200 for the phone...

Nice review. Few things missing : 1. Did you buy it from your own money, or is this a sponsored video? 2. What's the weight of the device? 3. You didn't mention that because of the operating system, all games are capped at 60 fps. 4. There's a 360 NFC implemented in the device, you didn't mention it. 5. Same with the water resistance(?) not sure about that one actually..

This phone is better than s22 Ultra because it has: - A 10bit display vs 8bit on Samsung and better colour accuracy according to DisplayMate. - Higher battery charging cycle with much faster charging - Larger sensor for ultra wide camera - Separate chip for camera processing (MariSilicon) - Better cooling materials - Ceramic back that's more durable than glass. Samsung is only better with telephoto camera because of higher optical zoom cameras.

Those Samsung telephoto cameras are super handy though if you like taking pictures when out and about. I have owned the S21 ultra for about a year and I think I use the 3x and 10x cameras more often than the main one, it just opens up so much more potential for great photos that I don't think I could give them up.

Honestly, I always find Oppo completely superior in Specs in comparison to the samsung flagships and Apple. Each time I consider going back to Samsung, as soon as I look at the specs of the oppo's I cannot justify it. I've had oppo for the past 5 years now and I won't go with any other brand!!!

Have been testing a iPhone XS Max to get a feel for iPhones as I vowed never to have one. I’ve always been an android man. Always had Samsung but have been checking into the oppo find x5 pro. But I must say I’m being converted to iPhone and I’m thinking of going for the iPhone 13 pro when I’m due an upgrade in September. Any advice?

6:29 that is very impressive, Its an give in I am going for the Find X5 Pro I currently have the Reno Z4 and have not had any issues with it what so ever not once have I had to send it back for hardware/Screen replacements under warranty OPPO really have done it justice I will never go back to an Samsung friend got the new S22 Ultra feww weeks ago already has had to go back to samsung for replacement so for me I see no change on that front same issues with there phones as the 7-8-9 Versons Me no risk it OPPO all the way

Unfortunately, I sent mine back this morning. It arrived last night from Amazon, but the I found the screen brightness to be very poor considering it's a flagship phone. The speakers were a little bit tinny and there was no way of adding more bass. Never mind. :)

Always entertaining videos. I have been considering this as I want to get away from the Samsung AI enhanced ecosystem. Plus the cost of them doesn't really justify them much these days.

For sure picking this one up after a few years with the X2 Pro, even though the X2 is so good that there's still almost no reason to upgrade. Love the way they just make it a benchmark topper. We need to get some interesting materials back on the housing though.

@@everstar8056 The X2 Pro? I don't make many calls but it seems pretty much flawless for me. Never struggled to hear a caller and never noticed a problem with quality but it's not something I listened for, so someone hard of hearing or listening specifically for quality might find an issue, not too sure. Seems great to me though.

Been using the Find X2 Pro since release and it's a fine bit of kit. I use my mobile for gig videos which tend to be in low lighting so now it's a dilemma as to upgrade to this or try out the S22 Ultra. The lack of periscope zoom is disappointing on this model I must say

@@snapagigphotography I like the idea of periscope zoom and then literally never use it, definitely not a dealbreaker. Do like the idea of the X5 as a gig camera, the X2 is a little too slow in dim light for action shots. Only thing that keeps me away from Samsung is the OS and the fact that everyone else has one. It is a tough choice without a nice distinct colourway on the new Oppo phones, though.

Same, have the P30 Pro and no idea what to upgrade to, Find X5 Pro, Pixel 6 Pro, S22 Plus, Xiaomi 12 Pro??? Love some of the features of the Pixel Camera just mixed reports about bugs and issues,

@@brianturriff3126 i returned the google pixel 6 pro as it wasnt for me and the battery wasnt even lasting half a day!... the shop said it must have been a dud one :/ ,, im prizing towards the x5 but unfortunately cant afford the pro :( .

Struggling to choose between Google pixel 6/pro, and the Oppo Find X5/pro. Mostly used for general use, camera and gaming. The price difference per month isn't too hefty, so wondering if the Oppo is the better choice? Keep seeing conflicting things!

For gaming , OnePlus 10 Pro mainly bcose of its cooling system.

Price is too steep. If i need "expensive camera phone" i'll choose Pixel 6 (or 6 Pro). Oppo same as Oneplus is not great with system updates. If this phone will be for around 600quid - why not.

Does the Find X3 have the telezoom better? and microscope... but its an amazing stuff the Night video/pics, and the stabilizer. Im thinking about moving from my Find X2 PRo to this.. or maybe i will wait a bit longer, giving a chance to the Find X3... while waiting. Very good review. Subscribed :)

I have the find x3 pro after having a find x2 pro. X3 has android 12/coloros 12. I don't think the x3 pro is appreciably much better than the x2 pro tbh. For me, the camera on the x2 pro was better.
