That's not what I had intended to publicly publish as it was not finished for their is no one more powerful words than Ophary Winfrey and the power of her words as I grew up as if she was My Mother AKA Foster Mother she taught me so much YET there wasn't Dr.Phil yet and I hadn't met Gayle yet. I needed Medical Care too as I had been injured deeply sitting quietly not telling anyone which I never heard YET.

I love being the captain of my own ship. It is always good to be unque, I am different , and I like being me , there isn't any validation being someone else . I have a lot of challenges in my life . It's not easy but I am still pushing and I will overcome and accomplished what God have planned for me ..I am BLESSED, mysterious and I shall be a wonder to many in my life.

Oprah saved my life. I was in my twenties and I was walking home from the movies. I had a gut feeling that something was wrong. I even told my best friend after leaving her at her house that if she didn't hear from me something happened to me. I saw a vehicle going towards my direction after walking quite a few blocks. Sure enough, it did a u turn to come back towards me. I started to walk faster but before I knew it I had a gun to my back and he was telling me I was going to go with him and if I screamed he'd shoot me. I told him to take my bag and let me go, but he didn't want anything from my bag. In that instant I knew I needed to make a decision and I remembered this show and that statement. Don't let anyone take you to a second location. There were no other cars on the road. So when a car passed I felt it was a miracle. I got the drivers attention and thankfully he stopped. The gunman was angry but I got away. I later found out that there were a string of rapes and assaults that occurred. I am grateful for having the wherewithal to remember not to allow anyone to take me somewhere else. This advice saved my life.

@@baa7875 I did go to the police a few days later. The first officer was unhelpful and went as far as blaming me. He said what was I doing walking around at 12am. Mind you, I worked a full-time job and went to school full-time. I would get home from school sometimes later than 12am because I needed the machines and mannequins at school. I requested a different detective and the one I got was amazing. He was kind and truly put in an effort to help me. He's the one that told me that I was smart to wave someone down and not go with him because he had raped a few girls in the neighborhood. He drove me around the neighborhood and had a sketch done, but nothing came of it. The guy was never caught. I just pray he didn't continue and hurt someone else.

It's very worrying how cult-like and 'absolute' the Fans of Oprah mostly are. Not all, yes, but many seem to see her as some sort of divine being? She's a bit too often wrong to be divine though. In fact, she has some very naive, simplistic Views on things and barely seems to do stuff like 'informing yourself'. Is she too cool for reading actual books, also? And that's not even mentioning very disturbing things she said about Men and Woman, that can be debunked by the simpliest of Gender-Studys.

Beautiful story, I always wanted to go to school; my grandmother said; “ you are going to be a prostitute or a vegetables vendedora. I got away from my grandmother cruelty. Then, I came to U.S.A. I got my BA in Psychology, a MS in Psychology: human behavior, now I am a proud student of NCU where I am getting a doctoral in Psychology with an emphasis in Counseling psychology, so yes I always had a dream. God has been my leader and cornerstone… I love learning. 🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘

I looked in my mirror one day and realize I was dying and in one minute I decided that I needed to change it took me 5 minutes to get in a bath go under a come up and decided it was time for a change. However it will take me the rest of my life to stay change. I am now living my life for a better change and also live in my life without carrying any hate for anyone.

Yes U are a Social Worker & Teacher. Over the years of tuning into Ur show i learned a lot about social issues and realized how lucky i really was. Seeing the life challenges of others made me realize that. Too bad most of us buy into the idea that money makes or proves our success. Fortunately i have had the pleasure of knowing and using my God given talent that has been my joy in life. In Spite of not making a salary doing it. I just love the work you have done! The season you did with John Gray saved my life. I went out and bought the book "How to get what you want, and want what you have" it. Me and my spouse at the time got in a argument. He didn't want me to spend the money on a "book " I'm so thankful for you and all your words that have touched my soul. And in my opinion, that book could have saved his life! Lost him to suicide 20 years ago. Lost our daughter to a stroke 4 years ago on November 2nd 2017. I go back to my book so many times over the years. I now read a lot of selfhelp books, but that 1 was my 1st and will always be my favorite

Don't ever allow someone to take you to the 2nd location!! This advice saved my life when I was being bashed and strangulated and he then wanted me to get in the car with him. I remembered this and when a slight window of opportunity and strength came I ran for my life and got free. I can't thank you enough for educating me about this topic. Forever grateful 🙏
