Two weeks before the car accident that took my daughters life she told me, “I’ve never been happier in my life, Mom”. This is why I believe we know when our time is near and as hard as it is to say, I know she did not go before her time. She met her destiny with grace and love. She was an amazing light and spread love everywhere she went. I have no fear of death now because how can I fear where my precious daughter has gone. Losing a child gives you a whole new prospective on life and death. I too walk in gratitude everyday for my son and my two grandchildren and hold sacred the time I have with them. This I owe to my daughter. 💕

My son was murdered & set on fire in his car 5yrs ago & the most powerful thing that got me through was GRATITUDE. I had to counterbalance the horror & hole in my soul w/ giving thanks for every little thing & person I've been blessed with. I focused on who & what I STILL HAD IN MY LIFE. That saved me from ending mine when I thought I couldn't survive the reality of my beautiful boy's death. I've followed you Oprah for SO many years & it was one of your 1st shows on gratitude, the gratitude journal etc., that introduced me to this as a regular practice. It changed my life. It saved my life. Thank you for presenting such outstanding programs over the years. Thank you, thank you Oprah ♥️

Thank you Oprah & Dr Griffiths . My stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis has taught me to live with gratitude 🙏 & appreciation. Learning the art of living in the present moment has benefited me , so very much . I choose to live with my heart ❤️ not my head . In love not fear . I was given a 5 month prognosis in July 2021. I have learned to believe mediation is very powerful . Strengthening the mind helps heal the body . I AM CANCER FREE & truely believe living in the present moment, healing ❤️‍🩹 my past trauma & learning the art of regulating my emotions has given me this miraculous result. Love 💕 and light to all.

RIP Dr. Roland Griffiths (he passed on the 17th of october).. though i've never met you, i have been continually wowed at what a role model citizen of humanity you were.. your endless contributions towards easing human suffering will certainly have earned you a special place in the afterlife, if there is one.. but what IS definite, is that you will be remembered by many for all the greatness you've done and doors you've opened up for others through your research.. my gratitude for all that, even i haven't needed it/benefitted from that myself, alas has left me unable to finish watching this with a dry eye but you inspire me to cherish my own life more at a minimum

I told my family I'm a DNR if I'm in an accident . I don't fear death. That's the only thing we all going to face, I will not seek treatment if I'm diagnosed with advanced disease, Why inter-rupt the process of transitioning to the other side. When it's time to go I will go with grace. i have lived with gratitude all my life. I thank God every morning for life and the good things that has happened in my life since he took my parents when I was 6. I look forward to seeing them on the other side so when my time comes I will not resist.

I believe that Dr. Roland has done so much common good in his life for others with such joy in his heart. I can tell that even with the terminal prognosis he’s been given, he’s kept any negative emotions in check and not allowing them to dictate his behavior, or thoughts. etc. I was taught to keep my emotions in check because they can mislead you.👌

OMG! A question pertaining to an AUDIENCE member's parent, diagnosed with PD! My husband is in the last stages of PD and, I am his full time caregiver, married to him, 54+ years. I try meditation, deep breathing etc., but, I am experiencing fear, beyond words. He is all I have allowed in my life. It is such a long goodbye. He can only breathe and swallow. I do everything for him as he is confined to bed. He isn't aware of anything, anymore.😢

I've come to believe that our two most significant events in our life are birth and death. Both are miraculous. In between there are lessons and experiences from which we learn and grow if we allow ourselves to. All to say, in my mid 70s facing mortality I find myself not so much looking forward to the process of dying but to the inexplicable wonder and awe of the miracle at my doorstep. Thank you Oprah and Dr. Roland Griffiths for this timely interview.

How to climb into the moment... After the sudden death of parent, burial finished, the remainder of the clan took off on a cross country trip visiting some of the state parks. Oprah, in regards to your Dad, I believe anything related to dying is possible, I think it is good to set goals even when we know that we are dying, it’s reasonable to set a goal to live to a certain age or just a few more hours to see a loved one before dying, just be ok if the goal is not met. So embrace the whatever the goal and have a one time “what if” conversation. Thanks Hospice Nurse Jen

Thank you for this important video! I'm always excited when the medical community speaks about the spiritual awakening process. It's a process that affects people mentality, emotionally, physically and energetically. The more the medical community awakens and understands the process the better their service to humanity will be. On a side note / constructive criticism, I'm a huge Oprah fan however she interrupted the guest on a few occasions, which to me felt jarring, thank you.
