Miss O, I have a parent with Alzheimer’s and I often let your shows play on loop in our home. We have Max and Apple+. It genuinely brightens up her day and she is reminded of the Oprah Winfrey show. Thank you for the continued efforts to share with us your gift of being an interviewer ❤

Thank you for sharing this beautiful interview. I felt very much like Nicole when I was told my daughter 28 years old had passed. I searched for God strength at that moment and knew that God had taken her and I needed to accept God's will. I am grateful to have had such a caring, loving daughter for 28 years. I still talk to my daughter in my thoughts and live my life like she would like for me to live. I know I will see her again. Living in gratitude is very important for me.

As a therapist, Nicole Avant’s experience is an exemplary ambition I wish for every grieving client. The two opposing truths of light and darkness are dialectics. And in the moment I love the determination to “choose the joy”. This was such a refreshing interview, Oprah. ❤

Grieving is a profound pain that touches every person. I've personally faced this when I lost both my mom and dad in a year-getting through it felt like a nightmare. Despite the ongoing grief as she said , I've been described as a happy person. I carry this pain, yet simultaneously, I find purpose in being helpful to others.

I read the book because the promo mentioned….”my mother has been shot…” I was shot five times at close range the day after my divorce. My three children 15, 13 and 12 got that call. I wanted to see if your book gave me insight what they experienced. I did live. A client hired a hit man to kill me…but God 31 years later I am still here. I thank God for this book.

I loved this interview. African Americans take so much for granted in this country. We often complain about racism and other issues. Our accomplishments in other countries are virtually impossible. The US is not perfect, but no country, no matter how we tell ourselves otherwise. I love this country. I love the opportunities afforded to us. I wish that African Americans would take advantage of the opportunities in this amazing country. I feel so blessed to have been born in this country.

Hi Oprah, I just watched the conversation you had with Nicole Avant, and my God it was so profound how she's moving through this tragedy with so much awareness is the best word I can use for how she described her mother's murder and her dad's passing and how gentle and calm it was. I admire her and I've learned from that conversation. Peace be with you both. ❤
