The proper use of any type of tool is something that we do need to be taught. This week we cover one of the most versatile tools in an optician’s arsenal, the round nose - soft jawed plier. Opticians use hand tools to perform adjustments on eyeglass frames. These pliers can be used for both eyeglass frame standard alignment and those done for individual adjustments made at dispensing. Optician training includes working with optical hand tools and adjusting eyeglass frames.
