I don't think you can say firpo is a clear example of farke improving players. First off firpo dropped from the prem to the championship so his job is nowhere near as difficult and second he actually had a run of games that he hasn't before. They wanted Düsseldorf/St Pauli/1860 Munich before settling on what became RB Leipzig, and they would have forced a rebrand on those clubs as reported in German media at the time. I don’t think it’s “paranoid” to see a very clear pattern and urge some caution about it. Conor’s statement about having to relocate to a soulless new stadium felt overconfident too given that the 49ers just want to redevelop. We *should* want to keep the best parts of our atmosphere and heritage, that isn’t just silly emotionalism.

It’s very hard not to lean into negative rhetoric and suspicion when you consider how the club has been treated by its custodians in the past. It doesn’t need to be the end of the Leeds United world as we know it. If RB is our top sponsor for the next several years that will benefit Leeds financially, the reality is it is a better offer than any sponsorship offer we’ve had recently. Several times over. Any use of the RB network for scouting and player development can’t be a bad thing as they are involved with top sports science and sports coaching programmes globally. There is no way that RB can force the 49ers out at all, as the 49ers control the majority of shares and many minority investors are contained within the 49ers investment group, not as genuine minority shareholders. Even if RB got all minority shareholders to agree to push out the 49ers it would not work as they would be outvoted by the 49ers shareholders. The kit is what it is, nobody wants to see red on it if possible but it’s really not a big deal if it’s two red bulls, it’s quite obvious what they represent to everyone world wide. The reality is this boys, and Conor, Joe, I urge you to drive this home to your followers and subscribers: Any other team in the Championship or the bottom half of the Premier League would KILL for this level of investment.
