Gday mate, I’ve just discovered your channel after looking for ideas about a radius ball turner, I watch all your videos on your design and I’m impressed, your design is the only one I’ve found to have a bearing swivel which make for a smooth operation, thank you for sharing your idea it is much appreciated, Cheers mate and thanks. Matty

Hi , thanks for your comment . Yes I'm happy with this lathe . I'm working with stainless steel with no problem at all but if the parts you want to produce are bigger than 30mm in diameter I strongly recommend the next model Opti D240 , you will work much faster . What type of steel you will work with and how big ?

Very clean design! Is that a DC insert? Wouldn't a VC insert mounted ccw 17.5' allow a cut all the way to the ball mounting shaft, & eliminate a shoulder or further operations? Tnx

Great demo. I like how you do things. I would like to see just a little more light on the item. sometimes I can't tell what you are working on. Very good job. thanks for showing us.

Hi, the lathe itself is not so noisy but in some operations the noise level is gonna be high. Maybe if you use some soundproof insulation between your bench legs and the floor and of course on some walls also.

May I suggest something brother. Make some calculations on paper and cut most material away say at 45 degrees. then do the final machining. Will save you a lot of time. If you have a CAD or similar program, the calculation would be chicken feed.

Hi there. How noisy is this lathe? Can I use it in an apartment without annoying the neighbors?

Would you send me this too, please? I have the same lathe, but in different paint. BTW, in my channel you can see the "digital gears" for this lathe, now it has feed both directions (syncronous 0.01-0.25 mm/rev and non-syncronous 5-132 mm/min) and it may cut left-handed threads too (with any pitch from 0,001 to 4.500 mm).
