there's a series bug that this update brought. the shard name (Reflector Ray) which is use to Travel along a ray of light to unassessable areas. is not working at all. If you equip this shard to get to areas that you can only aces with this shard you see that this shard is no longer working after this latest update.

I maxed out 8-bit fireball at 9/9, good god. I beat boss rush course 2 in 1:30. This thing is insane.

It is m8, imagine if you had Gebels Glasses and Skull Necklace to xD!! 2 x Flame Rings increase its dmg to. Im surprised they nerfed Flame Cannon but didnt touch 8-bit, I guess its cuz 8-bit is later

Thanks, some of these are chosen solely because they are fairly good and are simple to acquire/upgrade, Dullahammer heads are a great example of this. Although perhaps not the most powerful, due to how easy they are to obtain, max and how early you can get them, just makes them more useful in the long run. My familiar of choice here is more about convenience, and they are not actually that bad damage wise ;)

Void ray is awesome! Even at it's lowest level, but at max it gets thicc. It's just a pain to max cause you have to get it from one of the strongest dragons in the game.

also Heretical Grinder.. really useful for Zangetsu and Craftwork

@@theanti-person9113 I prefer Head Flail for Craftwork, as he's weak to strike damage and it's fast to bring out and less resources at that point in the game.

Ive literally tried everything, the ones here are the best and mist useful (in my opinion). 8 bit Fireball is a beast!

Same buddy, all those Ive mentioned are currently still good even with updates. Flame Cannon takes a bit longer to upgrade now, but still wants doing as soon as you can.

I think it's because I go on a bit too much, I know I do provide a lot of good info here, but generally, videos like this are usually a lot shorter and I think they are expected to be as well. Me and you like more info, but some just don't, prefer to discover themselves, perhaps don't realise they need it or maybe just get bored watching xD

Never used them m8, I have done them all before for other guides, but my final optimal build was mainly using the shards here so never really had use for those skills ;)

I think it just means you have a money modifier active, like the Augment Gold shard for example

It may have been nerfed... AGAIN?! From memory, to increase it's dmg, you want either 2 x Flame Rings OR Gebels Glasses and Skull Necklace OR 1x Flame Ring and Skull Necklace. After accessories you want to increase Intelligence, Intelligence Shard maxed so its passive PLUS ANOTHER maxed intelligence shars so you sort of have 2 in effect Then books you can have the one that increases directional shard power and the one that increases intelligence Thats all I remember from memory. I cant recall how much direction shard book improves dmg, but I think a single flame rings adds 15% dmg, may be more And of course be sure your Flame Cannon shard is maxed Oh and the Familiar book which buffs you may help as well Not sure if that helps m8, but its all i can sorta remember

You have to beat the blue ninja in a footrace in the Den of Behemoths. I use the speed belt, high jump and reflector ray to do it.

2 x Flame rings will increase the dmg, along with any Intelligence shards, Intelligence and directional books from Library Clerk. Other than that I would say its been nerfed. 75 x 5 at 18 mp a cast is STILL really good though m8. 8-bit fireball destroys it though

@@Optinooby i have 2 fire rings which is why it's 75... it was in the 50's before the rings but youre right they are still good

Run with max flame cannon until you get accelerate, normally gets me through fairly easy while Spamming, just always take some heal items into bossfights. Once you get accelerator, go get Augment Gold, be sure you eaten plenty of new foods to get your permanent stats boosts up, then you should be able to farm money really quick. Farming without accelerator takes a while but if you must, I used to farm the Axe enemies in that central top area where tou find Gebel/millionaires bane, fairy enemies and the 8-bit area. Find a axe enemy there near a screen change them quuckly farm him for drops being sure you equip drop rate items. They drop some good stuff that sell for quite a bit (damascus and some weapons) , thats your best simplest source without accelerate or augment gold

Optinoob thanks for the detailed info. I noticed my accelerator is not doing much damage... i’ve been push my Rhava Velar while accelerating.. how do you get high damage with accelerator? By upgrading it?

Yea, just keep beating ninja gaiden, but dont think accer does much dmg, I just use the best Rhava with it, then flame cannon or 8 bit fireball for stronger enemues

Not really. You just jump up and whack it a few times. His attacks are very easy to dodge.

I agree. I use Plume Pharma against Valac and Bael myself. Makes real quick work of them.

Pfft. Might as well make yourself invincible while you are at it if having to make an effort ruins your enjoyment of a game that was designed with grinding in mind...

@@PeugeotRocket everyone has their own idea of enjoyment, especially when they have limited time. I have about 60 hours in one run on this game and about 3/4 of that or more is from farming shards. That's not my idea of fun. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game, but killing 300 of the same enemy by popping back and forth into the same room to re-spawn them and still not get a shard isn't a fun time in my book.

I know mate, ur probably better off looking elsewhere as I went into perhaps far too much detail here, just give the vid a thumbs down and move on ;)

@@Optinooby I watched all of that video, and it was really helpful, even if i've only played a couple of hours. Good to know the spots and the passives to get before wasting time or money with the wrong ones.
