The nostalgia and exhiliration that I get from this song is beyond anything that music from today can make me feel. Not that I don't like current music or anything, there's plenty of amazing songs and artists, but this just takes me back to a different time and to emotions that I'll probably never get back.

I was thinking lately the same. And I realized the reason is that we grow old. This song reminds to you and me the time we were teenagers, which is the best time of our life . And everything that reminds you of that period of your life stands out and triggers special feelings. Think about why our parents love The Beatles - for that same reason. Unfortunately all I'm saying is sad . I am sorry!

I give you 3 exemples in music videos (in a tons of others)... i choose a style not too different from Opus 3... because every genres has good things to offer today... 1) Washed Out "Eyes Be Closed" 2) Chairlift "I Belong in your Arms" 3) Princess Chelsea "Too Many People" ...etc...

the 90s were catering to popular kids with a genre the US had ignored for a decade. If you were into alternative music already, the great music came from the 70s and 80s, and you were scratching your head that 90% of it got labeled "alternative" when it was just pop, generic rock, or what metal should have evolved into. The 90s are a false reality.

That whole era grabbed us like that fellow human. Late 80's to mid to late 90's were a special time to be alive and it wasn't just for the kids/teens either. Everything was so simple and everything had its place. Its scary to think how backwards society has become.

Beautiful track from a golden era! Whenever I hear music from the 80's/90's (pop, euro, etc.), I'm hit by a tornado of emotions of Love, Fun and Tranquility. What a great great decade! World has moved on to become very unsocial very rapidly. People just don't relax as much, just don't bond as much, just don't love as much. Sometimes I wonder what the fcuk are we doing here, if not THAT.

Reminds me when I was on a plane on holiday way back in 1992, I was playing track for most of my 12 hour flight, and looking out of the window, seeing beautiful blue skies and heart warming sunsets that gave you me a nice feeling when listening to this.

Kirsty Hawkshaw, what a legend! It's such a shame that Opus III disbanded. But at the same time I fully understand Kirsty's reasoning for wanting out. Commercialisation of the scene at the time was considered what was going to be the thing that ruined the music. It was all about the music and not the money which is a rare thing and that's why I appreciate it so much! What a track!

@@erikgwk No. Like most commercial giants in the scene, they'll broadcast whatever they can to generate income. Take DNB for example, there is a genre which for the most part has remained non-mainstream and yet it's still generating new and brilliant artists to this day. But there are artists who do become mainstream under certain labels and they're often regarded as people who are trying to ruin the DNB music. I've since seen the odd channel broadcast some classic Roni Size or Adam F tracks even though they wouldn't go near them back when they were first created.

I wouldn’t say mid 30’s especially since this song was popular for like 10 years and played a lot in movies and TV. i know we're all nostalgia freaks but there was something so genuinely inspiring and euphoric about 90's dance music-and the scene was so genuinely friendly and broke down barriers that keep people apart-there was also something stirring within consciousness with the shamen and their alliance with Terence Mckenna-who was a 'real' GURU-bring back something really happening!

These times we were free and this tune was a nightclub favourite. Unlike these days where overpriced goods, Covid, War, has escalated our predicament to insane levels. As for the energy prices skyrocketing, mortgage, fuel it's absolute insanity. We love you Opus 3 😁

Man heard this back in the day in a drunken, drugged, stupor. Since we didn't have cell phones and internet (& I wasn't sober) couldn't get the tune. Until now. 22 year old mystery solved! Thank you interwebs! Apologies to all the record clerks I sang this song too back in the day trying to find this song. Thanks for not calling the cops or guys with butterfly nets.

Yup still in a stupor I think the drugs I did had a preservative affect. Yeah couldn't "google" or "youtube" anything on my brick phone back then. Had the pager too :-)
