We are military and were stationed up north last year. You make me miss the South even more. I can feel the generational love you have for your family through the way you provide for them with your cooking. You learned through the love someone showed you, and now you are passing it on. I love it.

“Butter makes everything better.“ My new mantra for life. And I noticed that you didn’t have to use gigantic portions of butter to get that delicious butter flavor. So it can’t be that bad for us! Your calm and deliberate manner when you’re cooking is just the most soothing thing ever. I am a quick mover, and have always been somewhat clumsy, not too bad, but I drop things and occasionally cut my finger and if I adopted more of your demeanor of calmness and deliberation, I know I could do a lot better in the kitchen. So thank you again, Karen.

Ms. Karen, a small hack that i have used for years whenever I need to cut any kind of dough, soft cheese and the like. (I am turning 75 next month so i have been in the kitchen for a few years.) I use dental floss instead of a knife. Take a piece and put it under the dough, then crossover the top like you are tying a bow. This way the rolls don't get mashed like when you cut it with a knife. Thank you for the show.
