Great tutorial, thanks! I landed the first ones after only a few minutes of trying. The only thing I'd like to add is, if one plays with shorter strings, like I do, the yoyo has to be popped quite high and has to stay close to the hand the hole time until the whip hits. Otherwise the whip will miss, it is really short with my string length.

Great tip! I think I might have undersold how important the hop is. Even when I "do it without the hop" at the beginning, I'm still instinctively hopping it a tiny bit. Keep the yo-yo close to your hand is a good way to describe the ideal hop.

I like how much you explain the nuances for this one. I appreciate that

Thanks! I researched this trick tutorial for a while by teaching it to my patreon sponsors and listening to their feedback. I was worried I might be over-explaining in this one. Glad it was helpful.

Damn that is hard I'm using a DNA yo-yo and the gap is not round for lack of a better term so the rejection is a MFer but I'ma keep at it cuz it's the only yo-yo I will have with me for the next 3 months (don't ask) woo hoo

Mouth harp?
@DocPop2 жыл бұрын
Yep. The track is an Esquivel song. He always loved using weird instruments (musical saw, mouth harp, theremin, etc).

Oops, I actually thought this comment was for a different video of mine, which had an Esquivel song. Yeah, this video also has mouth harp, but it's not Esquivel, so ignore all of that.
