I purchase very little in a store. I talk to everyone about growing their own food (or purchase from a local farmer) & leave processed foods in the store. People complain about the garbage that is put in food. Until they start growing or purchasing from healthier alternative sources these companies will not make any changes. Why would they? We can force their hand and make a difference. It requires only a bit of effort.

In fact, dem votes here are just barely over 50%, with almost another 50% being republican or independent voters. I keep hoping Texas will seriously try to secede because I think if they do, the USA is going to rapidly crack apart into a bunch of diff areas all demanding their own autonomy.

I have seen similar things in small groups like for clubs i am in. There seems to be a fair number of peeps that simply do not understand how businesses or economics operate but yet are strangely confident in their decisions about that stuff anyway. For instance they think if you need more money, just raise prices, but often do not consider that at some point, you'd lose too many customers. The ones even more removed from the business world often do not understand all the costs that goes into their product or how small the profit margins are. They think that if they pay $10 for a burger, somehow the restaurant has $10 in profit because expenses don't exist in their mind apparently and all those business owners are just greedy and don't wanna share all that massive profit they just made somehow. I mean I know this sounds silly but I encounter it regularly.

May i just add that in my opinion, Oregon has 'gone to the dogs' speaking of the policies continuing to bulldoze people such as you have spotlighted, and we have allowed a creeping communist ideology to gain momentum among the elected officials and the general citizenry. Anyways, point is, the farmers markets are getting fewer and fewer produce makers. We have plenty of arts & crafts but if we don't have the right percentage of farmers we loose our market entirely! The general public isn't aware of this. Thousands of micro businesses whose sole income depends on these markets will be gone. We're on the verge right now and I'm stressing out because not only do I need more people aware and active to help fight against this, I also would like some insights on what more of an active role I can do.

Samon Nella? Who is that? Maybe he lives down the road a piece. Oh and the chickens. We get 100 of them from the hatchery every year. Never run out fresh eggs or chicken. They also keep the bugs down. They eat 'em. But they don't eat tobacco worms. So we have to spray the tomatoes with Black Leaf 40. That was how I was raised. Yes there was a new born raised in that did not get sick there. Got sick in the city.

I rebuke this allegation. More likely the hospital food the parents maybe had to eat. This is just ridonkulous.

Oregon water rights are based on the date you got the water rights. If the government decides there is a drought or water shortage, they start shutting off the water rights, starting with the most recent. So even if they went through the process, they may not get water.

Excellent video, law makers have no sense of what it takes to be self sufficient and grow anything. I live in Texas and we own the water our property sets on, unlimited. I saw those laws going on in Oregon and I just thought we would be out of business if we couldn't use our well. Good job man.

The majority will not "wake up". The way things were is past tense. We the public is in big poop for sure. That news caster is good at what he does, he knows how to twist the meaning real well. Good luck Oregonians.

Powdered infant formula is not sterile and may be intrinsically contaminated with pathogens, such as Salmonella enterica, that can cause serious illness in infants.Jan 15, 2008 I wonder if that situation has improved since 2008...?

A 3 person household taking showers everyday would on Average use 1,548 Gallons per month. 1 Person showering everyday on Average uses 516 gallons per month. The average American shower uses 17.2 gallons (65.1 liters) and lasts for 8.2 minutes at average flow rate of 2.1 gallons per minute (gpm) (7.9 lpm). Gardens don't use more than humans just showering. Not to mention how much water we drink. No I don't think humans are the issue either. Just really f upped laws.

It’s a wonder any of us or any of our neighbors lived to adulthood. I wonder if people didn’t take their shoes of before coming in, wore soiled clothes (with poop) into the house, didn’t wash hands when coming in. But this can be same dirt and poop from any livestock. Cleanliness around babies and small kids is always a good idea. Government isn’t supportive of independence. Good luck on water rights. Oregon is very tight fisted about them.
