Fire lookouts are a popular winter camping destination in Oregon. Silas and Andréa had a reservation for one night at Warner Ridge Lookout in the Oregon Cascades. The weather forecast looked great when they packed their four wheel drive truck to head into the snowy mountains. It wasn't until the following morning when the forecast changed and a major winter storm was heading right towards them with predictions of 10-20 feet of new snow accumulation. Having snowshoed in and with a long drive on forest service roads to get out of the mountains, they raced against the clock to hike out by headlamp braving the extreme windchill to try and beat the snow fall.
Will they make it out or have to turn around and go back to the lookout to wait out the storm? You'll have to watch to the end to find out.
