Is an hdmi 2.1 cable needed for true Atmos? I’m having issues achieving Atmos with my Arc and a switcher similar to this by Avstar. Thanks

Good information , thanks mate, I felt you could have shown how you have connected in clear way for each media player and I felt really messy showing your setup.. and we couldn’t see how you connected soundbar could be real better video as we don’t know what is the maximum wire length it could support from your projector to sound bar

Do they make a device exactly like this that supports 4k 120hz 2.1 and still sends lossless 7.1 Atmos to the soundbar and 4k 120hz 2.1 to the TV with the Xbox Series X pushing plugged into it?

Very detailed video... I had an HDFURY Arcana it works but full of bugs. Just want to know whether the audio mode we need to select it manually for 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 or it detects automatically?

This does it automatically, but i would encourage you to play with the settings if you have the corresponding speaker setup. It’s an amazing product if you have more than 5 speakers!!! Really appreciate your comment, thank you for watching this video , dont forget to subscribe.

Just picked up one of these and am very happy with the results. However I’m not seeing the automatic switch from 5.1 to 7.1. I have to push the button in the back when I change from a DTS disc to a Dolby Atmos disc. Is there a setting I missed?

Hi I got this Orei hda 931 wow what a surprise it worked perfect as I expected from projector hdmi to sonos beam earc and only issue am having is I need to switch on and off my sonos beam each time after I switch to amazon / sonos music back to projector viewing.. I felt it should automatically detect projector/Tv, am not sure if any settings should be updated any help would be appreciated . Am using b

Awesome!! How I got it to work was by making sure the other input was off first, then when the new input powered up it automatically switched it for me. Have fun enjoy !!

@@hervesworld not about the input , input is always to my chrome cast , but when we listen to songs from sonos app then switching to projector it doesn’t pick up and I need to switch off and on my beam

Not just a smart tv, it will upscale different makes and situations to achieve Dolby atmos.. it is a worthy product to achieve your desired results.

Hello. I want to buy this device, but there was one important question. Audio outputs from HDMI out and optical out at the same time. I want to use the optical output with my subwoofer so as not to spend money on a branded subwoofer from sonos.

Hi Herve, just a query! Will I get Dolby Atmos if none of my device has any eARC capability? I have a not so old TV 4k but only has ARC HDMI , an Onkyo receiver just HDMI and an Xbox One X which is Dolby Atmos ready. Can you please confirm using this device.. thanks from downunder...

Am un televizor hisense E76GQ, 4K, eArc 2.1, Dolby Atmos, și un sounbar LG SP9YA eArc 2.1 Dolby Atmos, Dolby true hd, etc. Pot scoate sunet Dolby Atmos necomprimat fără pierderi de pe aplicația Netflix de pe televizor? Ori totuși trebuie să cumpăr și un blue ray? Dacă trebuie să cumpăr, trebuie să fie uhd 4K? Vă mulțumesc anticipat.🙏

So, I just received my OREI HDA-931, and I’m having trouble getting it hooked up correctly. I have a Samsung tv with 4 HDMI’s (one of which is ARC. I have the Bose Soundbar 600 (earc with Dolby Atmos). And I’m trying to utilize the Atmos on my new Apple TV 4K. I hooked the Apple TV hdmi to 4k input in the front of the OREI device. I unplugged the soundbar hdmi from my tv, and connected it to the OREI device, in the Soundbar input. And connected the tv hdmi on the back of the device to my tv, into the hdmi arc input. Is this correct? This setup doesn’t work. Does anyone have advice on connecting my device to my tv, Apple TV 4k, and Bose Soundbar? I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Tv HDmi goes to the front, the 4k Apple TV goes in the back and the sound bar goes in the back,

@@hervesworld Thanks for the info. I was able to get it to work, however, only when the Apple TV was connected to the front of the box, and the TV HDMI to the back. It did not work the other way around. But, I was not able to get audio form my cable TV input. I could only get video. Is there a way to have the Apple TV work, as well as cable TV? Thanks.

I just tried out this 935 version and it was too buggy for me. Slow to change sources and remote does work too far away. I really wanted it to work though.

Pull the power from the unit while it is playing. It should correct itself. Let me know standing by.. (also) unplug your router for 45 minutes to flush the routers cache.

@@hervesworld whoop sorry too late. I already returned to Amazon. It had to work out of the box or else my family would get frustrated with waiting and trying to understand the setup. I did unplug while it was playing but after I switched to different audio sources, it was just not quick enough compared to the TV's own remote for switching sources.

I dont quite understand whether this device can solve my problem. I have a smart TV with only 3 ARC ports (NO eARC), and a sonos arc soundbar with an earc input. I want losless audio from my TV to my soundbar, and I dont want any external device like a ps5 or a receiver or cd player etc. If I connect my tv's arc port to my soundbar, everything works fine and i can get the compressed version of dolby atmos from streaming services etc, but i cannot get FULLHD losless audio from my tvs internal storage to my soundbar, because my tv ofcourse only outputs through an ARC hdmi port. My question is: If i connect the ARC port of my TV to this device, and then connect the device to the earc input of my soundbar. And then play a file that has full HD losless audio from my tv's internal storage, will it output the losless audio to my soundbar? Or is this device only usable with an 'external source', like a ps5 etc?
