Problem with the spool storage is that it takes 1/3 of a spool worth of filliament. So you end up with even MORE empty spools!
@_qry
@_qry 3 жыл бұрын
@@MrBizteck if it takes 1/3rd of filament you end up losing 1 spool per 3 storages. You‘d need 3 spools in order to build one of these so how do you end up having more spools in the end?

I finished watching your video, honestly it didn't really give me any more ... tell me if it's really economical to make your boxes yourself or is it more economical to buy them in a store Cheap, I don't have a 3D printer, so I have a hard time realizing the required filament consumption, but this video will surely be useful to me when I have plenty of tools to Future 3D printing, in the meantime I'm looking for videos and funny, unique printing ideas, which serve a few things while being unusual, you have really good ideas that please a lot Many people, but here it is ... I'm not looking for this kind of video for the moment, I can't wait to see your next videos, moreover they will be more on the theme of video game tools or objects, I have Loved your animal crossing video I hope there will be plenty of videos like this !!! Useful / functional objects inspired by cult video game objects !!
@ottotater2787
@ottotater2787 4 жыл бұрын
Okay understand comparative economics are not going to benefit you. For instance that container box this size is going to cost you $1 to $8 at the store but you're going to pay $10 for the filament to make one plus your time and the energy. The reason to 3D print something is to get exactly what you want but economically it will not even close to balance. 3D printers are for for making custom items that you cannot buy at any store.

What would be the average cost to make one of these and time it would take to print ?
@maximthemagnificent
@maximthemagnificent 2 жыл бұрын
I did the cost analysis recently for some simple storage bins for screws and it was about three times as much just for the filament alone (so electricity and wear and tear on top of that) as just buying some (when on sale). I even modeled the 3D printed bin to be more efficient with material than the bins I was comparing against. I'm sure some of these designs are worth printing, but definitely check out alternatives.
